1 COMMUNITY PROGRAMME January April 2017 Classes Courses Events Support Groups And more Charity Reg No t: e: w: jewishcare.org/msjcc
2 WELCOME There are so many occasions I see new people visit Michael Sobell JCC and hear them say, Wow, I had no idea you had all this going on. The centre really is a space for the whole community to enjoy, socialise in and learn new skills. Whether you want to meet new people for good conversation over great food (page 10), enjoy learning and listening to knowledgeable speakers (page 14), or celebrate the festivals with your community (page 8), we are a warm and friendly space that is open to you, your friends and family. We are a place for Jewish people of all ages. We welcome everyone, no matter what your level of religious practice is; come in and make the most of the facilities. You can also feel good in the knowledge that any excess raised from the events we run will go to helping someone s bubba or zaide. Looking forward to seeing you here, Zoe Chajet Community Programme Development Coordinator Did you know you are supporting the community? By coming to our programmed activities you are helping to subsidise our day programme for older members of the Jewish community. For every 5.50 a member pays to spend the day here, Jewish Care spends an additional 35. This means we can provide a welcoming space for older people to socialise, learn new skills and be entertained, which is also made possible by donations. Who knew that it was so easy to help your community... You can support Michael Sobell JCC in continuing to touch the lives of your local Jewish community by visiting or by making a donation next time you visit the Centre.
