Chairperson s Message We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the Al-Anon members who supported our annual fundraiser, all the volunteers who made it possible, and all the meetings that donated a basket. We definitely felt the love. Thank you! Listen and learn lately that s been a major theme in my recovery as I travel to different meetings in our area. It s been such a privilege to listen to members who have developed what I call a massive reservoir of compassion for their fellow Al-Anon member. They also have the specific courage it takes to consistently a7end meetings and continue seeking as referenced in step 11. We have many members in our Los Angeles area who have cultivated a huge heart, giving them the ability to see past the disease of alcoholism and its effects on the non-drinker; they see the best part of a fellow member. These are the real leaders of our program, ensuring our program s survival. If you know one these people with a massive reservoir of compassion, please let them know how much they mean to Al-Anon Family Groups of greater Los Angeles. They will not be forgo7en.
