Powerful, educated and passionate about making a difference these are the women who attend this high-profile event. More than 1,000 strong, they are among Miami-Dade s most influential women. In addition to supporting United Way s mission to help Miami become a more educated, prosperous and healthy community, the Women s Leadership Breakfast is an excellent opportunity to engage an exclusive group of women who are both business and civic leaders. Women s Leadership members are predominantly: college-educated; have incomes of $75,000 or more; are between the ages of 24 and 55; professionals, many from upper management; decision-makers. The breakfast is one of our community s premier annual events and, in recent years, has been chaired by women leaders including Adriana Cisneros, Sue Miller and Leslie Miller Saiontz, Ambassador Sue M. Cobb and Natacha Munilla and Norka Munilla. The breakfast keynote speakers have been inspiring philanthropic women, most recently Chelsea Clinton, Donna Karan, Goldie Hawn and Leigh Anne Tuohy. Proceeds from the event benefit more than 113 programs and 54 impact partners directly influencing the education, financial stability and health needs of our community, as well as our United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education and our endowment. 3 ABOUT OUR SPEAKER Aerin Lauder Founder, AERIN A designer, tastemaker and working mother of two, Aerin Lauder is a modern day style icon. She is the creative force and founder of AERIN, a celebrated luxury lifestyle brand inspired by her love of art, travel, fashion and design. Lauder began her career at Estée Lauder in 1992 and has held various executive roles, including senior vice president and creative director. In addition to her work at AERIN, Lauder maintains her role as style and image director for Estée Lauder. A dedicated philanthropist, she is passionate about bringing books to children in low-income communities and hopes to make the tools of education accessible to everyone. ABOUT OUR CHAIR Darlene Boytell-Pérez ARNP, Gastro Health Darlene Boytell-Pérez is an advanced registered nurse practitioner and clinical researcher with more than 20 years of experience specializing in gastroenterology and liver disease. In 2006, Florida International University (FIU) dedicated the Jorge and Darlene Pérez Nursing Laboratory. An alumna of the FIU School of Nursing, she serves on the FIU President s Council and the School of Nursing Dean s Committee. She also serves on the boards of United Way of Miami-Dade and United Cerebral Palsy. Along with her husband, she is involved with the Pérez Art Museum of Miami. They joined the Million Dollar Roundtable in 2003 and the Five Million Dollar Roundtable in 2011.
