2 AAHAM Inland Empire Q3 Newsletter This has been a very busy year for AAHAM Inland Empire, with both the Sun Mountain Lodge event in April and the Summer event at the Richland Hampton. Both conferences provided rich insight into pressing operational matters on the healthcare front lines. These topics included: an understanding of the core elements of 501r, HIPPA guidance, commercial payer contract management, and customer service tactics. As the season turns we now also turn our focus on another incredible fall conference at Northern Quest Casino in November! We already have a fantastic itinerary planned including more on 501r, handling denials, the popular Payer Panel, and more! 9 Fall Conference Charity November 8-10th Northern Quest Casino Spokane, WA At its heart, AAHAM Inland Empire is a collective of generous, thoughtful, upstanding persons in their communities. The Fall Conference is focused on the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery, whose primary goal is to provide immediate refuge for children and support to strengthen families. This evolved from the tragic story of Vanessa Kay Behan, a Spokane girl who died from child abuse injuries at the age of two. Following her death, a group of local business people established the Crisis Nursery so that parents would have a safe place to bring their children in the face of crises.
