1 BREEMA: The Nine Principles of Harmony BEGINS TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 7:00PM TO 9:00PM AT THE HISTORIC PRALLSVILLE MILLS IN STOCKTON, NEW JERSEY SIGN UP FOR THE SERIES OR ENROLL IN INDIVIDUAL CLASSES Breema is a natural form of touch and body movement supported by nine universal principles. The principles can be applied to other techniques and methods of bodywork, health improvement and, in fact, to any activity of life. This series offers a unique opportunity to explore Breema s Nine Principles of Harmony and how they support a practical approach to purposeful living. You will learn partner bodywork that nurtures both the practitioner and the recipient, Self-Breema exercises to develop body-mind connection, and bodycentered meditation. Breema bodywork and Self-Breema exercises use nurturing touch, tension-relieving stretches, and rhythmic movements to create physical, mental, and emotional balance. Through the practice of Breema we can move from complication towards simplicity, and cultivate an openhearted and open-minded posture towards life. For the last 17 years he has studied Breema with its founder, Dr. Jon Schrieber, in Oakland, CA and is a certified Breema Practitioner and Instructor. Based out of Lambertville, New Jersey, his body-centered therapeutic work combines the universal wisdom of Breema with a practical knowledge of psychology to connect others to their unique potential as human beings. SARA FISHKIN, CMT has studied Breema at the Breema Center in Oakland, CA since 2003 and is a certified Practitioner and Instructor. She is also an herbalist and avid gardener. 2 BREEMA THE NINE PRINCIPLES OF HARMONY BODY COMFORTABLE When we look at the body, not as something separate, but as an aspect of a unified whole, there is no place for discomfort. NO EXTRA To express our True nature, nothing extra is needed. FIRMNESS AND GENTLENESS Real firmness is always gentle. Real gentleness is always firm. When we are present, we naturally manifest firmness and gentleness simultaneously. FULL PARTICIPATION The most natural way of moving and living is with full participation. Full participation is possible when body, mind, and feelings are united in a common aim. MUTUAL SUPPORT The more our Being participates, the more we are able to support life and recognize that Existence supports us. Giving and receiving support take place simultaneously. NO JUDGMENT The atmosphere for nonjudgment gives us a taste of acceptance of ourselves as we are in the moment. When we come to the present, we are free from judgment. SINGLE MOMENT/SINGLE ACTIVITY Each moment is new, fresh, totally alive. Each moment is an expression of our True nature, complete by itself. NO HURRY/NO PAUSE In the natural rhythm of life energy, there is no hurry and no pause. NO FORCE When we let go of assumptions of separation, we let go of force. The single class rate is $30 per class. Please make check payable to Matthew Tousignant. LOCATION The workshop will be held at the historic Prallsville Mills in Stockton, New Jersey. As appreciation for allowing us to use the space at no cost and to support the preservation efforts and operational expenses of the Prallsville Mills property, annual membership is required for you to participate (if you enroll in the series or more than two classes). Your membership is active for one year from the date that you join and provides you with 10% off of all Mill-sponsored activities. Please see attached membership form which requires separate payment. Deliver form with payment to the office of Matthew Tousignant between 9am and 5pm Monday through Friday.
