We need volunteers to donate Easter Baskets, toys, plastic egg(with prizes) candy(peanut free facility) and also to help with the activities Volunteers are need to set up event, work registration, serve as race directional people and timers, to pass out water along route, to serve as mascots and mascot helpers, etc. 6:30am-11:30 am Sing, Dance, Celebrate, and Learn----Center wide we will play music all day. (each classroom will have its own theme) Healthy eating and fitness at home and school On Tuesday we will encourage all of our children here at ACS to create their very own healthy Tacos. Then share the recipes and photos of their creation with their families and friends each day 4-8 each day Misc. Shelter closed on March 17 th for Staff Development 75 Location Piedmont Park 4-8

2 Work Together Wednesday Wednesday- April 26, Artsy Thursday Thursday April 27, Work Together, Build Together, Learn Together When children build together they explore math and science concepts and develop their social and early literacy skills. During the Week of the young child we will work together and build something great with friends, family, volunteers and guest. Think, Problem Solve, Create The children here at ACS will use their creativity, social skills, fine motor and large motor to make open-ended artwork. Our students will use materials such as crayons, markers, paint, textures, fabrics and several other resources to assist them with creating something beautiful and amazing. Our children will display all of their outstanding work in their art gallery

3 Family Friday Teacher Appreciation Week Friday- April28 May1- May 5 Sharing Families Stories Engaging and celebrating families is at the heart of supporting our youngest learners. Here at ACS we will celebrate our Families on Friday from 2:00pm until 5:00pm in the gym. We will have a party!!! *Volunteers request (16) volunteers from 12:00 noon until 5:00pm (Tasks: Assist with set-up/ implement games/support teachers/help clean-up) Help us make this week special for out ACS Educators, gifts and trinkets are appreciated Things needed to support this event: Jumper (bouncy house) Face Painter/ Magician Goodie bags Candy (reminder we are a PEANUT FREE CENTER) Support with small concession set-up- here are a few healthy treats suggested items; fruit (oranges, banana or apples), 100% fruit juice, goldfish, fruit snack, chips and Snack packs.

5 Mother s Day Prep May 11 Atlanta Children s Shelter Event Calendar Kids will be preparing items to give to their Mom s for Mother s Day. Ideas, supplies and volunteers are need to help make this prep day happen 8-10 Donuts with Dads June 15 Donuts and coffee will be set-up for dads during drop-off and pick-up time. 2 volunteers 7-8am and 4:30-6pm Developme nt Days Backpack and School Supply Open House Achievers Celebration Friday June 23, July 31- August 4 September 14 October TBD Shelter will be closed for internal staff development Collection of backpacks and school supplies. Supplies will be distributed over the next couple of weeks Introduction of new parents and students to how ACS functions. TBD (15-20) from 4:00-9:30pm working in 2hrs. Or more shifts. Task will include event set up, registration, assisting in the silent auction area, serving as direction givers, run of show assistants and clean up. Dress attire will be professional dress.

(Tasks: Assist with set-up/ implement games/support teachers/help clean-up) 15 individuals from 10:00 am until 1:00pm (Tasks: Set-up/ Serve / Support working parents by sitting with children/ assist with clean-up) 14 people Working 4 hrs. shifts each(9-1 Face Painter/ Magician Goodie bags Halloween Candy (reminder we are a PEANUT FREE CENTER) Support with small concession set-up- here are a few healthy treats suggested items; fruit (oranges, banana or apples), 100% fruit juice, goldfish, fruit snack, chips and Snack packs.
