24 Fall Lawn and Garden Talk September 1st at 1:00 PM Sign up now!! On Friday, September 1st from 1:00 to 3:00 in the Center Chuck Heath will give his annual Fall Lawn and Garden Talk. He will be talking about current plant disease and insect issues, new products that have come on the market this year, our updated Falls Run Lawn Care Program, deer and ticks, the fall and winter weather forecasts, a little humor, and much more. Lite refreshments will be served this is a FREE event. We will raffle off lots of prizes including a hose-end bottle of Bayer Advanced Season- Long Weed Control, bottles of wine, and some really neat surprises. 27 Age Well Assessment Tuesday Jul 25 10:00am 12:00 pm $25pp Sign-ups begin Saturday, Jul 15 - register early as there are very limited spaces. Are you curious where your fitness level currently is and how you can improve it? If so, register to meet with Rich Gaudio who will determine where you are and what you need to do to improve your fitness level. Take advantage of this reasonably priced assessment as Rich has given us a deep discount. This evaluation normally runs $200 per person. GENERAL Billiards: The Pool Sharks (our men's group) meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Come join the fun! Bingo: Every 1st & 3rd Sunday, the doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for players to purchase cards and the first ball will be drawn at 6:30 p.m. The last game will end about 8:30 p.m. so that the rooms can be broken down and cleaned by the time the Center closes at 9:00pm. Come out and enjoy this Falls Run tradition! Fishing Club: Are you a fishing enthusiast? If so, you'll want to reach out to Ron Larson to learn more about the fishing trips that are being planned. 28 The Falls Run/Fredericksburg French Club, AKA "Le Cercle Fred," welcomes new and former members. If you are at least a little bit fluent in French, please consider joining us. We have traditionally met twice a month at the Center at 7 PM. On the first Thursday, we see a French film with English subtitles; on the third Thursday, we hold our conversational meeting. Recently, with new members joining, it has been suggested that we meet every Thursday at 7 PM at the Center. We have received permission and we will start that schedule immediately.
