2 Page 2 Membership Report Betsy Rothwell Please welcome Don and Nansi Nikiforuk new members to our club. There were 55 members at the March 2015 meeting. There are 188 members in the Probus Club of Huntsville, with a cap of 200 members. If you have friends who would like to join Probus, there are 12 openings, so this is a good time to apply. The application form is on our website under the Contact Us tab. If you have any changes to your address, phone or information, please advise Betsy Rothwell at betsyrothwell@gmail.com. Provided that we can sell 48 tickets, it will be a private party. It will be held at the Huntsville Bowl, #2A McCann Street in Brendale Square. Unfortunately, the location is not handicapped accessible. Outing to the OPP Canine Training facility in Gravenhurst. Thursday, May 10:30 AM. Followed by a delicious lunch at the The Blue Willow Tea Shop. Total cost is $25.00 (This includes tax, gratuities and a $5.00 donation to the OPP.) Tickets will be available from Gloria Anderson at the April and May meetings.

7 Page 7 Bid Euchre 2 Susan Magee is trying to start a second bid euchre group to meet at members homes on a rotating basis. Meeting time will be decided by the group. Books to be discussed: May- no meeting Dining In Contact: Barbara Burton burtonbaj@sympatico.ca There is space available in several groups If you would still like to join a group. New this year is a snowbird group (May- Oct.) and a group capped at 10. Groups meet once a month for the year, rotating hosts. The host provides the main dish and sets the theme if any. The rest select or are assigned dishes to complete the meal. Members provide their own beverage. A fun way to interact with members of your club.

9 Page 9 Duplicate Bridge Contact: Beryl Clayson clayson@cogeco.ca Meets at the Claysons on the 4th Monday of each month at 1:00 pm. In order for them to prepare, please contact Beryl & Paul Clayson at least a day before the date, if you wish to play. Although we have about 30 regular members, we can still use a few more, especially couples, since there is a preponderance of ladies or a lack of gentlemen at present. ipad Club Contact: Lynn Todgham ldtodgham@bell.net Next IPad class will be Thursday April 30. Since several people are committed on the 4th Thursday of each month, we will decide a new date that suits the majority at this meeting. The topic of this class will be going through the information that is under the title SETTINGS to help people set up their ipads to suit their needs. There will be a quick review on cleaning up your IPad. Please let Lynn know if you are attending or if you are interested on being on her notification list. Photography Contact: Ken Koehler kkoehler@vianet.ca The next get-together of the Probus Photo Group will be at 2:00 pm on Friday May 29th. Ken and Barb will be hosting at their Huntsville Condo Dairy Lane, Suite 101. Since it's been such a long cold winter, our theme will be "Looking for Spring!" This theme should provide us all with lots of scope -- both for those of us who have given up and headed for warmer climes, and those hardy souls that are staying in the area

10 Page 10 and are so looking forward to the first green shoots, spring flowers, flowing streams, song birds or whatever else that heralds the arrival of Spring! If you cannot appear in person, ed images to are always welcome. And if you'd just like to see what the Photo Group is all about, please feel free to come along as a spectator! Wine Appreciation Contact: Jeff and Ann Cox jeffcox88@gmail.com We meet once a month, usually in the late afternoon as a group of 12 or less in a member s home. Each person pays $15 to the host who is responsible for choosing and buying the wine for that month as well as providing simple appetizers. There is a final get together of everyone at which we choose our favorite wine of the year. This group is organized much like the dining in groups, where people who are away a number of months will be spread throughout the groups, so "snowbirds" can join in. Dee Mallette was the winner correctly choosing the order of tasting of the five red wines.
