Also back then children were the forgotten mourners, but we now understand the importance of supporting and including children and teens in the funeral planning when someone has died. This session will review the current research in the field of grief and loss. Practice implications of these new perspectives will be useful to anyone in the funeral industry who interacts with grieving families Learning Objectives: Upon completion, participants will be able to: Discuss the limitations of viewing grief in terms of stages.
