2 PurPose statement This symposium has been planned to offer the practicing pediatrician an opportunity to learn about recent advances and state-of-the-art diagnoses and therapy for common problems encountered in daily practice. At the completion of this symposium, pediatricians and other pediatric health care professionals will have enhanced their skills and competence in patient care, medical knowledge, interpersonal and communication skills and systemsbased practice. target audience The program is designed for pediatricians, primary care physicians and other interested pediatric health care professionals.
