5 Guest speaker Peter A. LeWitt, MD, M.Med.SC Dr. LeWitt directs the Henry Ford Parkinson s Disease and Movement Disorders Program. He also serves as professor of neurology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. His undergraduate, research and medical education is from Brown University, with additional post graduate medical and research training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Stanford University School of Medicine, and the National Institutes of Health. Since 1994, he has been listed in Best Doctors in America. He is the author of more than 300 publications on clinical and basic neuroscience and has served as an educator for the American Academy of Neurology, the movement disorder society, and numerous teaching programs in the U.S. and elsewhere. He currently serves as President of the Michigan Parkinson Foundation. Our panel Glen Ackerman, MD, FAAN founded and directed the Parkinson s Disease Clinic at MSU, where he was the Director of the MSU Neurology clinic until Currently, he is a neurohospitalist at Munson Medical Center and a member of the PNN Board. Andrew Cole, MD is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist in Traverse City. He is employed by Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital and practices out of Neuromuscular & Rehabilitation Associates in Traverse City. Laura Meldrum, RN is a retired registered nurse with 36 years of full-time experience. She is a support group facilitator, who offers help for care givers of those with Parkinson s. April Missias, MA is our panel facilitator and the director of Leelanau County Senior Services. Barb Ostrowski, PharmD, BCGP works for Munson Community Health Care Pharmacy as a long-term care consultant pharmacist. She is, also, associated with Munson Home Care and Munson Medical Center.
