As drugs are introduced and new uses for older medications are found, patients may find improved health and quality of life with appropriate use of therapeutic agents. Identifying strategies for suitable and cost-effective drug therapies requires clinicians to continually review the risks, benefits, side effects and interactions of prescription medications, over-the counter drugs and dietary supplements. Keeping up with the current pharmaceutical advancements helps clinicians reduce medication errors and their resulting costs. Created for primary care clinicians, New & Old Drugs: Best Choices features a comprehensive review of therapeutic agents to treat common medical conditions. The format includes practical case-based lectures, panel discussions and time for dialogue with the presenters.
