During growth,thyroid hormones provide n nboli influene on protein metbolism due to their influene on insulin seretion.t4 nd insulin lso onnet in liver,where they mutully ffet insulin growth ftors (IGF ) whih re powerful musle building ontrol gents nd in the bsene of dequte levels of thyroid hormones,humn growth hormone (hgh)lso loses its growth promoting tion nd is not sereted normlly 1. T3 is reognized s key metboli hormone of the body. Whih hs mny physiologil tions nd it modultes ll metboli pthwys through ltertions in oxygen onsumption nd hnges in protein,lipid,rbohydrte, nd vitmin metbolism. Through its diret mnipultion nd degrdtion of mny other hormones nd growth ftors it indiretly influenes dditionl endorine signling. Abnormlities of the thyroid funtion re mong the most ommon of the endorine disorders.they fll into two tegories, hypothyroidism nd hyperthyroidism, refleting defiient nd exess thyroid hormone seretion. There re mny uses tht generte these onditions nd whtever the uses, the onsequenes of too little or too muh thyroid hormone seretion re lrgely preditble hormones 2. Irisin, is myokine whose levels seem to inrese during physil exerise leding to het genertion nd possible protetive effet on metboli disorders 3. Irisin seems to indue brown like phenotype in some white dipoytes, whih improves multiple metboli prmeters by inresing energy expenditure 4. Therefore, irisin ould ply hypothetil protetive role ginst different onditions,suh s rdiovsulr diseses, type 2 dibetes mellitus (T2DM) or ftty liver disese.moreover, through the improvement of obesity nd its ssoited hroni inflmmtory stte, irisin my hve potentil role in obesity relted ner prevention s well s in osteoporosis nd neurodegenertive diseses 5.HoweverWuet. l., reported tht only prt of the subutneous dipose tissue inverts into brown dipose tissue (BAT), with substntil portion dose not demonstrte fetures onsistent with lssil white dipose tissue (WAT) or BAT whih they refer to it ws beige dipose tissues.these beige ft ells hve been shown to be ell type distint from white or brown ft ells being loted in white dipose tissue 3,6.Besides its ourrene in skeletl musle, irisin ws deteted lthough in muh smller quntities in severl humn tissues ontining smooth musle s well s hert

As reported by Zhng 8, plsm irisin level seems to orrelte negtively with intrhepti triglyerides ontent, being signifintly redued in obese Chinese ptients with Non-Aloholi Ftty Disese (NAFLD). In ptients with hroni renl filure, there is n inverse reltionship between irisin nd High Density Lipoprotein (HDL).HDL holesterol protets ginst theroslerosis by its inhibitory effet on holesterol trnsport nd nti-inflmmtory effet 9.HDL holesterol is ler preditor of vsulr events in the overll popultion 10.The inverse reltionship between intrhepti triglyeride level nd irisin nd the potentil diret reltionship between irisin nd HDL reinfores the potentil protetive role of irisin, espeilly in ptients with hroni disese of high rdiovsulr risk, suh s ftty liver disese. These findings wrrnt further study of the potentil role of irisin in the metbolism of HDL holesterol 11. Mterils & Methods A hundred subjets (60 femles &40 mles) rnged yers of ge were used for this study.the60 femles inluded 34 ptients nd 26 helthy subjets served s ontrol.the 40 mles were 24 ptients nd 16 helthy subjets used s ontrol. Ser were olleted from ptients nd helthy subjets referred to Tehing Lbortories in AL-Hill tehing hospitl nd from privte lbortories (Bbylon), during the period from November 2015 to Mrh Lest signifint Differene(LSD) test, orreltion oeffiient were used to nlyze the results. Thyrotropin (TSH), determintion. Elis Kit supplied by ACCU Bind Elis Mirowlls, MonobindIn., USA ws used for the determintion of TSH. Irisin, Triglyerides & High Density Lipoprotein (HDL). Elis Kit, supplied by Elbsiene ws used for FNDC5 mesurement, Triglyerides nd HDL were mesured by using(reflotron PLUS nlyzer) from Rohe ompny (GERMANY).Thirty-two miroliter of serum were put on the stripe of Reflotron kit, nd the results were given fter few minutes. Results Thyroid stimulting hormone (TSH) levels nd Irisin hormone were mesured in ser of the ontrol nd ptients hypothyroid nd hyperthyroid mles & femles ptients. The results showed tht Irisin level stble (1) ws higher in hypothyroid femles thn ontrol nd ws lower in hyperthyroid femles thn in ontrol nd ws higher in hypothyroid mles thn in ontrol nd ws lower in hyperthyroid mles thn in ontrol. The TSH level ws higher in hypothyroid femles thn in ontrol nd ws lower in hyperthyroid femles thn in ontrol, nd ws higher in hypothyroid mles thnin ontrol nd ws lower in hyperthyroidmles thn inontrol. Triglyeride level ws higher in hypothyroid femles thn in ontrol nd ws lower in hyperthyroid femles thn in ontrol nd ws higher in hypothyroid mles thn ontrol nd ws lower in hyperthyroid mles thn in ontrol. HDL level ws lower in hypothyroid femles thn in ontrol nd ws higher in hyperthyroid femles thn ontrol but ws higher in hyperthyroid mles thn ontrol nd lower in hypothyroid mles thn ontrol. As to the orreltion between Irisin & HDL, there ws signifint positive orreltion, wheres tht between Irisin nd TSH ws signifintly positive nd tht between TG nd Irisin ws signifintly positive.

TSH levels inrese in hypothyroidism uses the differentition of prediposytes whih beome dipoytes tht hs been used in the most intensively studied models of ellulr differentition 12.The lower levels of TSH in hyperthyroidism ptients re in greement with 13. HDL level in hypothyroid ptients ws signifintly lower thn in helthy subjets nd ws signifintly higher in hyperthyroid ptients thn norml. This result is in disgreement with 14 on hyperthyroid ptients.thyroid hormones n influene HDL metbolism by inresing holesteryl ester trnsfer protein (CETP) tivity,whih onverts HDL2 to the low density lipoproteins (VLDL) nd TGs to the opposite diretion 15. TG level ws signifintly high in hypothyroid ptients thn ontrol nd ws signifintly lower in hyperthyroid ptients thn ontrols, result my be relted to rdiovsulr disese resulted from the inrese of thyroid hormonesin hypothyroidism nd hyperthyroidism respetively nd my lso be explinedby the derese of weight in hyperthyroidism ptients. These results gree with 14,16,17 who indited tht hyperthyroidism ws ssoited with deresed levels of lipoprotein, used by inresed hepti uptke due to n enhned ffinity for the Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) reeptors, nd regultory protein of TG(ApoAV).
