Availability: Tuesday's and Thursday's. How did you get started with physical fitness? I started recreational bike riding as stress relief. Finding that I loved it, I progressed into long distance bike racing (300 mile events in about 18 hours). That developed into a passion for exercise science and helping people with personal training. Favorite exercise and/or workout style. Most of my clients are adults who are working to maintain their good health, or regain it after neglect or a medical condition. Often the focus of that work is correcting muscle imbalances, improving core strength and developing functional balance. Statement. I believe that life should be balanced between mind, body and spirit. All three must be nurtured for success and happiness. It's all about the whole person. My promise to you. I promise you that your experience in training will be personally tailored to your unique health needs.

I am in the Navy and I need to maintain physical fitness standards. I have always been interested in myself, my family and others make healthy lifestyle choices. Favorite exercise and/or workout style? I really enjoy weight/strength training and interval training exercises. I think it is important to switch up exercise routines to keep it fresh and new. I started my fitness career 17 years ago while in college. I was an exercise science major and I started personal training and teaching group fitness classes at the local YMCA! Favorite exercise and/or workout style? I love and strength training, TRX, and all mind body fitness modalities (yoga, barre, Piyo, Pilates)! Favorite quote: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Being an athlete and overall fitness enthusiast, health and fitness have been a part of my life and routine since I can remember (Though I am a sucker for a big plate of chips and dip!). I enjoy outdoor runs on the Greenbelt, CrossFit, the occasional yoga class, buying new workout clothes and headbands, attempting new healthy recipes, but most of all watching my children discover healthy activities they love. Favorite exercise and/or workout style? H.I.I.T, strength training, distance running Favorite quote: Fitness isn t about being better than someone else; it s about being better than you used to be My promise to you: My goal is to motivate and educate you so you will enjoy exercising and make it a permanent part of your life, because your health is the most valuable thing you possess.

I have worked for the YMCA for 10+ years in many capacities. Fitness and healthy living have always interested me, so several years ago I settled into the wellness/fitness department of the Y and have love it ever since! Favorite exercise and/or workout style? Planks- All Variations! Interval training. I have been a fitness nut my entire life! My background is in athletics, coaching, and plyometric training. I played college basketball, and have coached volleyball and basketball at the high school level. Favorite exercise and/or workout style? My favorite exercise is really anything that will get the heart racing. My favorite workout style is plyometric and HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). I also love weight training. Favorite quote: "The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get less than you settled for." What drew you in? - Growing up I was always active in sports and loved to compete, so going into college I knew I wanted to pursue something in the field of health education and/or fitness. Working in many aspects of health ranging from physical therapy clinics, to training the senior population and the joy that comes, to what some may consider small achievements, but can be lifechanging for another, is what keeps me going and continues my passion in health and fitness. Favorite Exercise and/or workout style: My favorite exercise is the squat. I prefer to workout in Olympic Weightlifting with the Snatch and Clean and Jerk. Your Promise/Mentality: My promise is simple. If you give 100% effort and I will give you 100% commitment. I will commit to you if you are willing stay committed to yourself and the process of changing your life. Favorite Quote: If you don t like how things are, change it. You re not a tree. Excuses are useless. Take care of your body. It is the only place you have to live.

I feel like I ve been struggling with my weight my whole life! I ve always liked a fit look and been inspired by magazines like Oxygen. I became a Certified Personal Trainer as a way to share my love for fitness and also to continue to motivate me. It s a lifelong process! When I came to the YMCA and trained for my first triathlon, it totally transformed by body and I realized the importance of cross-training and keeping your body guessing. I ve trained through injuries and learned to listen to my body and use corrective exercise to bring me back to my best. Favorite exercise and/or workout style? I like mixing things up. I love TRX, tabata training, boot camp style training and regular weight room training. I also love working with kids and keeping them moving and strong!
