7 Tuesday Art Therapy We re excited to continue offering Art Therapy sessions lead by one of our facilitators, Theresa. You may be familiar with Theresa as an art instructor, but she s also completed a Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy and is working towards becoming a Registered Art Therapist. Art Therapy sessions provide a safe place to explore a range of art materials. Instead of having an instructor teach you how to make art, an Art Therapy session is about expressing feelings, goals, and the process of making artwork. You don t need to be talented or an artist to receive the benefits. The great thing about Art Therapy groups is that there is no wrong way to make art, no prior experience or knowledge is required, and it can be for any age! The only thing you need is your imagination and an open mind. Please note: these groups will run for 7 weeks and there will be a maximum of 8 people per group. A consent form will be provided on the first day of the session. Look for Art Therapy groups offered throughout the calendar. Art Therapy courses are not eligible for Passport funding. Exploring Mixed Media through Art Therapy This Art Therapy group is looking for creative minds to come and join! These sessions will be less structured than our typical ARTworks courses, instead focusing on creating art and enjoying the process. It is a place to experiment with a wide variety of art media including paper, paint, clay and more! Think of this group as an open art making studio followed by sharing what they ve created. No previous experience or knowledge is needed. Hutton House Tuesday July 10, 2018 August 21, :00-12:00 $60 Learn to Golf Certified golf coaches from the Fanshawe Golf Coaches School will be teaching golf basics along with life skills such as respect, co-operation, focus, and teamwork in a fun, safe, and educational environment.
