Develop effective study habits and test taking strategies. Making memorizing easier. January 22 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Must register in advance. FREE Resume Development Workshop Learn how to create an effective resume completed by you. Wednesdays 9:30am to 11:30am. Bring a flash drive to save your resume to or purchase one from us. Must register in advance. FREE Learning and Career Planning Consultation Meet with an experienced career and learning navigator to discuss your career dreams and come up with a plan to get you started on the road to success. If you don't know what career is right for you, we will spend time exploring options before developing a plan. Available by appointment. Practical Math Skills for Life and Work Learn how to do math functions, without a calculator, for retail and service occupations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, percentage, and making change. Learn about calculating quantities, volume, weights and measures for inventory, dry goods, produce, and recipes. Figure out amounts of supplies for home improvements using area, perimeter, and volume. Convert from fractions into decimals. Starts January 24 th March 14 th, Thursdays 6:00pm to 9:00pm for 8 weeks. Cost $50.00, register by Jan 10 th, Practical Writing and Reading Skills for Life and Work Learn how to read product information, WHMIS safety sheets, workplace procedures and instructions effectively so that you understand and remember what you read and can find information you need and the answers to your questions in the workplace. Writing skills, you will learn include writing business letters, instructions, s, progress reports, store updates, filling out forms and charts, and general paperwork. Starts January 23 rd March 13 th. Wednesdays 6:00pm to 9:00pm for 8 weeks. Cost $50.00, register by Jan 10 th, GED Exam Preparation Course Work through all of the 5 GED Exam areas with real time internet instruction and a classroom facilitator for support. Starts January 15 th April 2 nd, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. No cost if eligible for the Alberta Works grant funding. If not eligible for funding, course cost $ plus exam fee $ Textbooks and calculator included. Register before January 3 rd, 2019 Limited seats available. Trades Entrance Exam Prep, GED Exam Prep, or Practical Nurse Math Online courses with face-to-face tutor support. Start anytime. Cost: $ plus textbooks.

Please make an appointment to register English Language for the Workplace - Build your English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills to improve your communication and performance at work. Date: Jan. 22 nd April 18 th (Tuesdays & Thursdays). Time: 9:00am 12:00pm. Cost: $85.00, total class time: 78 hours (13 weeks). Please make an appointment to register English Language for Academic Test Preparation - Build your English reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for academic test taking purposes. Date: January 21 st April 1 st (Mondays & Wednesdays). Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Cost: $85.00, total class time: 40 hours (10 weeks). Please make an appointment to register LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) - Learn English for daily life and citizenship. Study for 3 semesters and earn your LINC certificate. Start Date(s): January 7 th & February 25 th, Register by: December 7 th, 2018 Time: Mondays & Wednesdays, 9:00 a m. 12:00 p.m. Cost: Free for Permanent Residents Please call Tyla Olsen for more details or to register for this class Grief & Loss of A Companion Animal When a companion animal s life ends, it is very understandable and normal for us to grieve and suffer a unique bereavement. Often, we feel alone and isolated as grieving a beloved companion animal is not always understood by others or accepted in our society. We want you to know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE and that grieving your companion animal is NORMAL!! If your heart is heavy with grief, either from a recent, past or future loss, please join us for the day where we will: Share stories and honor our beloved companion animal Learn about grief, how it affects us and ways of coping with our grief Connect with others who are on a grief journey and know that we are not alone To register, or for more information, please contact Lyndell or lyndell@dreverag.com. We like to invite our interagency colleagues to participate in this great opportunity to connect with seniors even if seniors aren t the demographic you serve, imagine the volunteer possibilities! This is the third concert of the Classical Series (DiscoverMusic@Augustana). Always a Camrose favourite, the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra returns after their sold performance last season. Dr. Hamm is an award-winning Associate Professor of Piano at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. Hamm has established a unique musical profile. In recent years he has toured and recorded Frederic Rzewski s monumental The People United Will Never Be Defeated! His CD won Spotify s Best Classical Recording Hamm has commissioned over 200 solo, chamber, and concerto works including for PEP (Piano and Erhu Project), The Nu:BC Collective, and for Hammerhead Consort. His three chamber music initiatives have received praise both for their recordings and their artistry. This is the fourth concert of the Classical Series DiscoverMusic@Augustana).
