1 Moose Lodge 452 Chapter 2121 Woodward, Oklahoma 452, Loyal Order Of Moose A New Day In Paradise April 2017 Inside this issue: Moosehaven Director John Capes addresses the crowd at ground breaking festivities Sunday March 5, 2017 marked a new day in Moosehaven history. At 11 AM representatives of Moose International, local dignitaries, residents of Moosehaven and guests gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Moosehaven Centennial Project. John Capes Executive Director of Moosehaven was joined by Orange Park Florida Mayor Eugene Nix, Moose international Director General Scott Hart, Moosehaven Board of Directors Chairman Wesley Crowder, Moose Charities Board of Directors Chairman George McCullough and Helen Taylor Moosehaven Resident Services Director for the formal address to the residents and guests attending the ceremony. It was a beautiful sunny day in the mid 60s for the traditional dig to mark the start of building. The Moosehaven Centennial Project consists of a state of the art 105 residential apartment building that will house a structured activities center, kitchen, dining hall, Bar- Bruce visits with Moosehaven resident Paul Moore, originally from Hutchinson Kansas ber shop, hair salon and cover parking for the primary mode of transport on campus, tricycles. The Building will feature 21 st century communications technology and backup power in case of a power outage. Additionally modern, durable and all weather construction will be utilized, lowering future maintenance costs. The project was announced last year with a ten million dollar price tag with funds to be raised over a three year period. Fund raising for the project is being conduct by Moose Charities. To date approximately half of the $10,000,000 has been raised. The scheduled completion of the Moosehaven Centennial Project is July 2018, a year earlier than planned. So efforts are underway to complete the fund raising sooner.
