2 Lions Club International Lions Clubs International is the world's largest service club organization, with a network of 1.35 million men and women in more than 206 countries and geographical locations. We serve where we live, as well as globally, and we have fun doing it.

3 Lions Club International Though well known for its successful initiatives in vision health, Lions service is as diverse as its members. We meet all sorts of needs, from assisting the elderly to helping victims of natural disasters. Since 1917, Lions have met the needs in their communities and continued to improve the areas in which they live. We are a hands-on organization.

11 Lions ROMANIA DISTRICT124 Lions Clubs Romania start in 1994, 1300 members, men and women organized in 62 clubs. In Timisoara are 4 clubs: Lions Timisoara, Lions Tymes1266, Lions Iris and LIONS DIAMOND One club Leo TM -tip Omega Years Lions Diamond chartered the first LEO ALFA Young Spirit in 2010 from Years We shall open two new Lions Clubs: Lions,,Ana Lugojana Lugoj and Lions Lady Resita

13 Lions Diamond Timisoara The time has come for Timisoara to have the first Lions feminine Club: Lions Diamond, Charter Party took place on November 6, The members of the Lions Tymes 1266 make this new club gathered in 2009, 21 ladies, with stable social positions, willing to join their forces and to offer some of their time and energy to the needy. In 2011 we are 29 ladies in Lions Diamond Club, Timisoara

15 We Deliver Humanitarian Programs We organizing the Flowers of May 1 ST charity ball in 2009 whose aim was to gather funds in order to pay for the journey of 40 AIDS-infected children in the land of information, a project initiated by the Metropolis of Banat. Since the ball reached its aim, this journey became possible: We bought 40 laptops!

16 We Deliver Humanitarian Programs In 2010 we organized second edition Flowers of May charity ball 1.National computer competition - "Iris" High School fore Blind and Amblyopic 2. Promoting young talent 3. Organizing a pottery camp for children blind and amblyopic. 4.Financial support surgery (lens implant) in a child diagnose after ophthalmological screening (action at district level) We succeed to gather sufficient funds for all project.

18 We Deliver Humanitarian Programs Halloween Party at Kids Land supported by Lions Diamond and LEO Young Spirit oct 2011 The approximately 300 children from Iris School for Amblyopic and Blind attending Kids Land on June 1 at the Iulius Mall in Timisoara were spoiled: music, themed games, contests, balloons and T-shirts provided by Lions were a delight even for parents and grandparents who accompanied the little one s at Izzi`s World.

19 We Deliver Humanitarian Programs Starting from the goal of LIONS organization Liberty, Intelligence, Our Nation s Safety, the clubs Lions Diamond and Lions Tymes 1266 in Timisoara have organized in December 2009 their first charitable action at the Emergency Transit Center in Timisoara Event under the coordination of the Romanian Governmental Authorities, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the first organization of it s kind, based in Geneva. Lions DIAMOND and TYMES 1266 clubs in Timisoara wanted to create a celebration atmosphere in 4 dec 2009, the members of the two clubs became Father Nicholas' messengers for the 77 children hosted by the center.

20 We Deliver Humanitarian Programs Donation of 2 refrigerators for Emergency Transit Center in Timisoara in july 2011 and a lots of sweets for children. And we continue

21 Give Sight The 244 children at the Iris High school for blind in Timisoara happily received our modest contribution consisted of an otoscope and a sphygmomanometer for the school's consulting room, 500 recordable CDs, audio books and 40 kilos of honey for the school's canteen. For the Association of the Blind, a modest help consisting of: 20 foldable walking sticks and 500 CDs for recordings. Quarterly ophthalmological screening

22 Support Youth Ten students from the Iris School of Amblyopic and Blind was sent on Pottery Holliday Camp held at Nutmeg (Arges) during July 31 to August 6 was the culmination of the project called Dragobete Show, performed by Lions Diamond Ladies, as an actresses and dancers.
