Time sure is flying by and winter is upon us. I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather. Perfect weather for all the Moose Lodge holiday festivities and events coming up in the next couple of months. A Team is not a group of people who work together. A Team Is a group of people that trust each other. Being that I had written my October greetings prior to the Jerry Monk benefit at the end of September, I would just like to say that I am very proud of all our members that stepped up and helped to make this event to be so successful. Jerry is a wonderful guy and has been a blessing to the Moose family. Well we finally got our juke box and bowling machine installed and they have been rocking ever since. Hope everyone is enjoying the new entertainment. I would like to congratulate Deeders for getting Moose of the Year. Thank you Deeders for all that you do. So many great events were held in October and I am proud of how successful they turned out. Many thanks to all the volunteers and attendees that made them so successful. Looking forward to all the great events coming up this month as well. If anyone would like to volunteer or help plan an upcoming event, please see Donna Gandy, Tina Crayton, or myself. 6 Page 6 Greetings from the Tallahassee Moose Riders! The fall weather is here (for now) and we are enjoying riding. We have had a good bit of growth in the Moose Riders. We are proud to announce Caleb Wainwright as our new Sargent at Arms. We know you will make us proud. If you see Caleb, please help us in congratulating him!! We hope everyone enjoyed the Halloween Costume Adult & Kids Party. The Moose Riders will be participating in many more events and we strongly encourage our members and anyone else interested to attend meetings. You do not have to own or ride a motorcycle to participate! Just have a passion for helping others. Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month right after the 6:30 dinner service. 7 Page 7 Membership Retention Week November 5 11 November 5 11 has been designated as Membership Retention Week for the Moose Organization. This is a one week focus on the commitment we have all year to retain members. Signing new members is an important part of the success of any Lodge and Chapter, but if we fail to retain our current members we make no progress. Please help us with our efforts. If you see someone is no longer attending give them a call and invite them back. Check with those that you signed up. Are they still members? Are they still attending meetings and events.
