Hi, I'm Noah Wolf, the NOAC Chair for Sac-n-Fox Lodge. I'm from Troop 55 in Cedar Falls, and I was inducted into the OA in I got my Brotherhood in Before being NOAC Chair, I served for a year as Lodge Secretary. I go to Cedar Falls High School, and participate in the school band, jazz band, choir, musical, and robotics team. I went to NOAC in 2012 and Jamboree in 2014, and will be attending NOAC in Happy New Year Lodge 108! My name is Kirsten Licari and I am the NOAC Chair for As I continue to help organize the contingent plans for our trip to Michigan State in August, I wanted to share some of my scouting activities I have participated in leading up to this point. It was a fun road. I was my son Daniel s den leader for Tigers- Webelos, , for Pack 56 at Price Lab School. We joined Troop 55 in Over the years I have attended many camp outs with the troop including: summer camp, several Red Flannels!, Snowy Owl at WSR, Eagle Cave, The Lincoln Trail, Civil War Camporee at Antique Acres, Maquoketa Caves, Howard Cherry, Fall Camporee- Fort Atkinson (1 st place chili cook off! ), Mitigwa, Backbone State Park, Gamehaven, Yellow River, Root River, Fall and Spring Fellowship. Other, but not all, activities and training I have done include: OSI Training, May 2011 Wood Badge Training C , Owl Patrol, August 2011 NOAC- Michigan State, August 2012 Autumn Adventures- Philmont Scout Ranch, October 2012 Northern Tier- Okpik, (earned the Zero Hero!) January 2013 Jamboree- Boulder Cove Trading Post Staff, July 2013 Sac-N-Fox Lodge #108

2 Winter Banquet Review A Magician! What great entertainment for the night! Remember the 2013 Jamboree OA patches? Well, part of the money, $700, was set aside and sent to Retrieving Freedom! Section Chief, Mitch Leonard, and Section Vice Chief, Justin Heins, spoke about section updates and answered a few NOAC questions.

4 Lodge Chief s Report Greetings Arrowmen! I hope that all of you are doing well and enjoying the wonderful Iowa winter. I know that I have been very busy with school, scouting, and other obligations and I am sure you have also been very busy. Even with all the non-scouting things going on I hope that you are making some time for scouting! 2015 is going to be a fun filled year with NOAC and the Centennial Section Conclave! I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves at Winter Banquet and had the opportunity to make new friends and catch up with old friends. For the first time ever we had a magician as the evening entertainment. I thought that Mike did a fantastic job and hope that all of you enjoyed the evening entertainment. Section Chief, Mitch Leonard was in attendance along with Section Vice-Chief, Justin Heins. Mitch and Justin gave us the annual section update and answered some of the NOAC questions we had. I hope that all of you are as excited as I am for NOAC and the upcoming year! Coming up at the end of January is the Winter Council of Chiefs meeting. The Winter COC meeting is a great way to get involved with the section and the planning of the centennial section conclave. This year s Winter COC will be held at Clarke University in Dubuque, IA. I will report about it in the next issue of Smokes. Coming up at the end of April will be the annual Spring Fellowship. Spring Fellowship will be a weekend full of fellowship and fun. Spring Fellowship will be April at Ingawanis Adventure Base. The weekend will be full of activities. More information about activities will be coming on in the next few months. I am an Eagle Scout out of Troop 12 from Mason City, IA. I am currently a student at the University of Northern Iowa. Please remember elections start in February. Yours in Brotherhood, Avery Hubbard Vice Chief of Ceremonies Hello, and salutations! My name is Noah Harvey, and I'll be your 2015 Vice Chief of Ceremonies. We are going to be using the new brotherhood ceremony, so I suggest if you are brotherhood, and have not seen it yet to go ahead and do so this upcoming year! This new ceremony is newer, better, and more meaningful. This ceremony describes things better, and makes things easier to understand, therefore making it more meaningful! 5 Vice Chief of Communications Hello Fellow Arrowmen, My names is James Bamber. I have been your Vice Chief of Communications before and I m back again. I most recently served as Lodge Chief. I am an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor Member. I will also be the 2015 Trading Post CVC for this year s Conclave. If you have any ideas of merchandise you would like to see at Conclave, shoot an to vccommunications108@gmail.com. It s that time of year again, but I bet you don t know what I m talking about. I m talking about Vigil Nomination Forms. Nominate a Brotherhood Member who has been Brotherhood for two years at least who you think is deserving of such an honor. The best part is that ANYONE CAN NOMINATE! You don t have to be a Vigil Member in order to nominate someone for this honor. I am the Sac-N-Fox Lodge secretary for the 2015 year. I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 12 in Mason City. I am a Brotherhood member. Winter Banquet went very well and I was happy to see a good turnout. I think that everyone enjoyed the food, as well as the magician. Thank you to everyone that came to Winter Banquet! My job as the secretary on the LEC is to record what happens at our LEC meeting so that we may send these notes to all of the other LEC members to help them refresh what we did at the previous meeting. These notes are saved so that we may go back and see when we discussed certain topics. I m looking forward to a great year! WWW, Colin Hubbard Lodge Secretary Activities Chairman Hello Fellow Arrowmen, My name is Andrew Lang and I m an Eagle Scout from troop 1062 in Osage and I get the privilege to be this year s Activities Chairman. I am just so excited for this year because this is the 100th year of the Order of the Arrow and we are planning lots of fun filled activities for the year. If you want to know what they are you will just have to come to our events to see what they are, but don t worry, I will be keeping all of you up to date on how everything is going! 6 Chapter Reports River Valley I am happy to announce that we have a new River Valley Chapter Chief! Sam Wright has stepped up to take on the responsibilities of Chapter Chief. Sam recently served as our Cub Scout Chair and did an outstanding job! Sam organized the Weblos Activity Day at the River Valley Merit Badge College and established communication links with Cub Scout packs in the Winnebago Council. The Activity Day was a success with over 100 Cub Scouts in attendance! Sam is a valuable asset to the Lodge and I am happy to have him on the LEC. WWW, Chadd Blanchard Hi Twin Rivers Arrowmen, This is Roger Stansbery, your Twin Rivers Adviser. This is my year-end report. I did double duty again this past year as the district did not have a chapter chief. I kept myself busy doing various events such as troop elections, going to meetings and helping with callout at IAB. I want to thank all Arrowmen who came to the lodge events this past year. This year, I will keep my adviser duties on a part time basis as I will be Elections Adviser for the Lodge as well. I challenge all Twin Rivers Arrowmen this year to attend as many lodge events as you can. This is your lodge and your help determines how the lodge functions for the coming year. The first main event that you can help with is Spring Fellowship at IAB on April Starting Feb. 1 troops can plan their dates for OA Troop Elections. This will expire on April 30th.
