All educational institutions would benefit from taking a more proactive response to student mental health issues. Through hands-on participation delegates will learn practical techniques for promoting mental health and working with student communities with specific needs. These lessons can be used to enhance their institutions wellbeing and mental health programs. Through this interactive workshop participants will learn to apply the framework of the Resilience Doughnut model to their institution. These Resilience Doughnut framework can be used to build sustainable mental health promotion strategies that will ensure greater student mental health and a more mentally healthy environment for all. The Centre works with schools, the community and individuals to improve the mental health of children and young adults. The Centre focusses on understanding, prevention and treatment of anxiety, depression and related mental health issues. This workshop will cover: What are mental health difficulties and mental health disorders? What causes mental health disorders? What are the common mental health issues young people experience? Whilst Konnect Learning is sympathetic to the inevitability of changing circumstances, Konnect Learning incurs costs for each cancelled registration. It is for this reason that the following cancellation policies are non-negotiable: If a registration is cancelled more than 21 working days before the date of a scheduled event, the fee of that registration will be refunded, minus a $300 processing fee; If a registration is cancelled between 21 and 7 working days before the date of a scheduled event, the registered participant will receive a redeemable credit note that can be used to attend another of Konnect Learning s events (subject to availability of venues); If a registration is cancelled less than 7 working days before the date of a scheduled event, Konnect Learning is unable to issue a refund or credit note due to the significant expenses already incurred by Konnect Learning.
