2 1 Mission Healing With Horses Ranch is a 501(c)(3) therapeutic riding center focused on providing safe and affordable Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy (EAAT) to individuals with physical, cognitive or emotional challenges. Healing with Horses Ranch is driven by a passion to provide the highest quality equine assisted therapeutic services in the greater Austin area to at-risk youth, veterans, and families through a healing environment and continuum of supportive services. History Healing with Horses Ranch was designated a 501(c)3 organization in 2011, founded by Patty D'Andrea, a PATH International Advanced Certified Riding Instructor and Certified Equine Specialist. Patty has over 30 years of professional experience. Since the inception of Healing with Horses we have had significant growth. In 2013/2014 we began collaborations with three agencies: Austin Travis County Integral Care, serving at-risk youth; Disability Services of the Southwest; and Touch of Class, serving individuals with various physical, mental or emotional challenges. Currently, we provide therapeutic services to 32 clients, 57% being at-risk youth.

4 3 Testimonials The ranch was amazing the moment I got there and i can't get enough of it. From the instructors, to the horses, and all the many volunteers, it has felt like a family. It gives anyone who comes out a chance to breathe and have a whole lot of fun. It is truly an awesome place to be! -Maddy M The ranch has a great positive atmosphere. I've found that helping out here is as therapeutic for me as it is for the students! -Teddy H Healing with Horses Ranch and the work that Patty does has changed my life for the better. The people who work to better the lives of so many others, from the students and their families to the volunteers and horses, have shown a sense of dedication, compassion and love that inspires me to work hard and drives me to improve where ever I can. The opportunity that I have been given by Patty and her team is one that many twenty somethings don't get to have so soon in life. I am truly grateful and inspired by the work done and blown away by the number of hours community members give to the ranch on their own time. It is a special place and I thank Patty for bringing her dream to reality! -Elyse G

Our horses work hard to carry everything from a rider's unbalanced weight to emotional trauma. To join our team, our horses go through a careful screening process, ensuring the safety of our riders. As a result, we have a wonderful team of gentle horses. Lacey Bo There is no secret so close as that between a rider and his horse. ~Robert Smith Surtees
