2 Dear Hike Supporter, 6th Annual Hike For Hospice Crossing Bridges Along Life s Way May 7, 2017 at Boulevard Lake Past successes are bridges that lead us to our next victory. ~ Jeffrey Benjamin Hospice Northwest is asking for your support in building bridges bridges of awareness that will help educate, raise awareness and enhance the quality of end-of-life care for the people of our community. Hospice Northwest and our group of 250 dedicated and compassionate volunteers help our clients in immeasurable ways in their life journey. Last May, 35 corporate sponsors, along with hundreds of other donors and Hikers, helped lead the Hike for Hospice to achieve phenomenal success in reaching our goal of raising almost $59,000 in cash donations for hospice palliative care, with an additional $25,000 in services/prizes/food donations. We were also thrilled with the amount of recognition and awareness that we raised for hospice palliative care in our community. This year, we ask that you consider hiking alongside us and crossing the bridge with us to our next victory, as we plan an even bigger and better Hike for Our goal is to increase the number of participants who come out to support our event by 10%. We have also raised the bar for our fundraising goal to $62,000, which we feel is an achievable target, if we can rely on the support of organizations like you who contribute so much to the well-being of our community. The Hike for Hospice is a unique national fundraiser coordinated by the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association and held across Canada in over 100 communities marks the 15th year of the national Hike for Hospice. Each year, the Hike raised approximately $1,500, for hospice palliative care in Canada!
