I think th ida was good, and th food was good, but my picky atr was not thrilld with th choics. If you hav spcific ditary rstrictions this is not th xcursion for you. I think w would hav njoyd it mor if w had not just spnt 6 hours on a diffrnt xcursion--w ovr-xtndd ourslvs. It was kind of xpnsiv for what you got--a guy singing and playing guitar whil you had an all you can at salmon fast. Thr was a bus rid to th whal watching boat, thn anothr bus rid to Mndnhall Glacir whr w had just an hour to walk around--not quit nough tim to walk th trail, unfortunatly. Th whal watching part was grat, but my son did gt a bit bord and vntually quit looking vry tim w saw whals. Th part whr w wr at Mndnhall Glacir was compltly slf-pacd and guidd. I think I would hav likd mor tim hr. W wr prtty tird and a six hour xcursion was a bit too much, spcially in th cold and rain. As for th xcursion itslf, AotS staff ar xtrmly accommodating in whatvr a family nds. Tram staff wr also hlpful and frindly. Gold panning and salmon bak ruis Jul, 2017 rough Ship No (approx) 3 ½ hrs s Th shuttl drivr was also our guid for th gold panning h wnt abov and byond trying to hlp Xandr with th gold panning (Xandr was mor intrstd in throwing rocks in th rivr) but h was vry patint and chrful collct Xandrs gold from his pan and prsntd it to him as if h had accomplishd a good thing without bing condscnding to him. H was also vry hlpful with loading my mobility scootr without making it sm a burdn

Tram ruis Jul, 2017 rough Ship No (approx) Varis s Group xcursion. Tickts wr bought at th sit. Staff split up to b with ach family. Hikd around with staff and family to bautiful vistas! Enjoyd going up and down th tram to th top of th hill. 5-Glacir Saplan Exploration ruis Jul, 2017 (approx) 2 hrs s W wnt at dinnr and had th staff at with out son whil w wnt on th plan. It hld 10 popl and many familis cam with small childrn. It is a small plan and you ar up for about 40 minuts. If your child liks plans and ar ok in small nvironmnts thy should b fin. Thy giv you larg hadphons to drown out th plan nois and giv you a rcordd tour of what you ar sing. Whal Watching ruis Jun, 2017 (approx) 4 hrs s Go on a boat that has comfortabl indoor and outdoor sats, clan rstrooms, food and drinks to purchas, and a grat staff. This was a nic calm xprinc for my son, May b a bit too long for thos with childrn that don't lik to sit for long priods of tim. Whal Discovry ruis Jun, 2016 (approx) 4 hrs s Th tour did vry wll in accommodating an adult with autism. I would rcommnd for high functioning childrn or tns. Not rcommndd for smallr childrn. Thr's grilld salmon, chickn, sids, and dssrts to at. Thr's also a rally nic crk with a watrfall. Evrything is vry clos, you could hik for 5 min or for an hour. Whn w got to th watrfall thr was gold panning st up- no lin, just play in th mud for as long as you want to. W walkd along a cut littl lak, roastd som marshmallows, listnd to nic (not ovrpowring) acoustic guitar, and browsd in th gift shop. Th bathrooms wr clos and clan, rgular mn s and womn s rstrooms and a larg family assist bathroom. It was a short 10 min rid in an old school bus, and aftrwards thy will drop you off in town for shopping or at th pir. It was also appaling bcaus of th "citizn scintist" aspct. My son rally liks sa craturs, and njoyd pulling us a crab trap and counting all of th craturs insid. W found a giant sa star and som sa urchins. Thn w saild around looking for whals and agls. H njoyd asking th guid lots of qustions. Snacks wr providd, but it was just nuts and granola bars, and I was glad w had som of our own snacks. Th tour lft from a dock about 20 minuts from th pir, and by th tim w got back to th ship h was tird and uncooprativ. Th adults also njoyd sing svral glacirs from th bus and th boat. This would b a good xcursion for a highr functioning passngr with an intrst in scinc, natur, or animals. Thr ar amazing viws, and a bald agl you can gt rally clos to. Onc at th top thr's a 20 minut documntary, hiking trails, a gift shop and a rstaurant. Also vnding machins, which I find usful if I nd mrgncy rinforcs. W had a rough tim bcaus it startd raining on th trails, so if you hav troubl with wt cloths, b prpard or vary your timing with th wathr. Thy do pack about 20 to 25 popl in ach tram, but th rid was slow and gntl up th mountain and th scnry was wondrful. W saw som wildlif on th rid up lik agls and dr. W had no lins to wait in at th top. It was rainy that day and w chos not to go on th walking trails which wr not strollr-frindly, and could b hazardous if a child took off running. Th gift shops wr somwhat crowdd. Th rstaurant was nic and accommodating. Thr was a movi, but wasn t rquird so w didn t us as w didn t fl our son would tolrat a small dark room. Mount Robrts Tramway ruis Aug 2011 rough Ship No (approx) 2 Hrs s W dcidd that th tram and a good outdoor walk around th mountain was appropriat for our family bcaus w could do this at our lisur and not b tid up on a 3 or mor hour xcursion, and Ryan would njoy riding a tram. Christophr did wll and h was abl to choos his prfrrd sat on th bus which was th back of th bus, but thy did hav th front sats/handicappd availabl for us. Th park was nic and opn with mostly dirt paths, and an lvator availabl to go up into th visitor cntr. Thr ar placs which wr opn to th watr, and potntially hazardous to kids that run. Th visitor cntr was crowdd, and it was cold and rainy, but th viw of th glacir was amazing. No food is allowd to b atn out in th outsid aras du to th bar population thr; as w wr told by a rangr. W thn got back on th motor coach to th marina and got on th boat to go whal watching. It was asy to board, but had to carry th strollr up th stps to th uppr dck of th boat. Christophr strssd and mltd down a bit until w took him out of th strollr and put him in th sat on th boat. W did us his \"satblt\" from hom to kp him satd. H was still strssd until th boat bgan rocking a bit which was calming to him. Th staff prtty much ignord him. Thr wr binoculars providd. Th othr tourists wr not vry happy but tolratd our son\'s bhavior. W did s lots of whals braching, som sals and agls, and th scnry was gorgous. Glad w drssd in layrs for th coolnss and light rain. Th bathrooms wr tiny and a bit hard to chang a pull-up whil th boat was rocking! I fl this xcursion would b a grat on for th whol Aot Sas group to go on togthr although th boat portion could b about an hour shortr. This whol xcursion was about 5 hours but was nic to hav it brokn up into 2 activitis. W still mad it back to th ship with about 20 min to spar.
