1 THIS COURSE IS: A 5-day learning event, full immersion, clinically-oriented, multidisciplinary, directed by a selected international and national faculty of experts in oncology. ORGANIZERS: Zhianawa Cancer Center (ZCC, a public tertiary academic radiation oncology center) in cooperation with Faruk Medical City (FMC, a private, state-of-art comprehensive hospital) and Hiwa Cancer Hospital (HCH, a public tertiary academic medical oncology center) and a sponsorship from Kurdistan Society for Cancer Patient Support (KSCPS, a non-governmental organization). AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: This clinically oriented, multi-disciplinary, learning course will be the 1 st one of its type in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan and Iraq. It is mainly designed for (but not restricted to) medical, radiation and surgical oncologists who wish to refresh their skills and knowledge in multidisciplinary oncology. The program will expose participants to a wide spectrum of issues in clinical oncology and to practice-oriented training. TEACHING FORMAT: The course offers plenary lectures regarding standard-practice clinical evaluation and treatments with reference to clinical guidelines and which will conclude in take-home messages. The clinical sessions will be complemented by tumor board discussions. Furthermore, participants will deliver case presentations and discuss these with the panel members. The course will be in English. Attendance will be free of charge and on two categories: Full attendance through pre-course registration: By application only, that have to include a clinical scenario (for possible discussion at the course s sessions). The participant will receive badge and free lunch and coffee breaks. An optional, Certificate of attendance & CME points (Continuous Medical Education points) will be given to those participants who will enter the pre-test and post-test quizzes and attend most or whole of the program.
