1 POSITION DESCRIPTION TRAINING MANAGER August 2015

2 INTRODUCTION Redspot Car Rentals (RSR) has introduced the position of Training Manager (TM) to help it develop, implement and deliver a national training program encompassing staff at all levels within the Redspot businesses. The TM will monitor generic and industry specific trends in training development, delivery and effectiveness measurement. The TM will effectively be a service provider to the General Manager Sales (GMS), General Manager New Zealand (GMNZ), Regional Operations Managers (ROM), Network Development Manager (NDM) and other RSR Heads of Department and will personally deliver various components of training The TM will ensure Franchise and Agency Principals are aware of and comply with the training obligations of their Agreements, the training opportunities available through Redspot and where appropriate assist Principals on a cost recovery basis develop in house programs to meet their particular needs. The role of the TM will share seniority in the RSR organisational structure with Branch Managers (BM) and will report directly to the General Manager Sales (GMS). The TM will be a member of the Training Committee that will review current and suggest new training initiatives on a regular basis. The TM will liaise with Enterprise Holdings (EHI) on training matters including sourcing existing programs and initiatives that may be utilised by RSR in kits businesses. The TM will be a member of the RSR performance standards audit team and will assist the Sales and Client Services Manager develop the Program as it relates to areas touched by training, in particular in the area of customer engagement. The TM will be based at RSR Head Office in Sydney and will be expected to undertake intra, interstate and international (New Zealand) travel as necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.

3 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY The activities of the TM must be focussed on increasing rental location profitability, enhancing customer service and increasing efficiencies across all RSR activities. The TM must strive to constantly improve RSR work health and safety procedures and minimise incidents. The TM must ensure that RSR training across all disciplines meets and where possible exceeds industry and general standards and employs the most effective delivery and review techniques. The TM must ensure that all staff at all levels undertake the training required of their position within RSR. The TM must establish and develop a relationship with various training providers including EHI through which RSR can become aware and take advantage of training opportunities. PRIMARY DUTIES The TM will have duties across a range of disciplines and these will be reflecting in Key Performance Indicators (KPI) detailed later in this document and reviewed at least annually. STRATEGIC PLAN The TM will amend the 2015/16 RSR Strategic Training Plan as directed by the Managing Director. The TM will take responsibility for the implementation of the agreed Strategic Plan. The TM will review on an annual basis the Strategic Training Plan and recommend amendments, additions and deletions as appropriate in a paper to be reviewed by the MD, GMS and others. BUDGET The TM will develop an annual budget to support the agreed Strategic Plan. The TM will report compliance with and exceptions to the budget to the Financial Controller (FC) and GMS on a monthly basis. TRAINING COURSE DEVELOPMENT Subject to the needs of the Strategic Training Plan the TM will develop personally and through others source content for the following courses o Product Knowledge o Car Rental System o Induction o Introduction to Customer Service o Introduction to Sales o Introduction to Performance Standards (audit program) o Driving Skills Assessment The TM will review on a regular basis, at least half yearly, the effectiveness of course delivery and learning outcomes.

4 COURSE DELIVERY The TM will personally deliver various training courses including but limited to; o Product Knowledge (Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane) o Car Rental System (Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane) o Induction (all Regional Centres) The TM will personally deliver or assist others in the delivery of the following training courses; o Introduction to Customer Service (all Regional Centres) o Introduction to Sales (all Regional Centres) o Introduction to Performance Standards (audit program, all Regional Centres) The TM will assist others in the delivery of various training courses including but not limited to; o Management Training Program o Driving Skills Assessment The TM will assist ROM in on-site training in product & system knowledge at new Corporate locations. TRAINING SCHEDULING, ATTENDANCE & REPORTING The TM will with the ROM and others schedule training courses to meet the needs of the business Where necessary the TM will co-ordinate the availability of third party trainers to facilitate and deliver training The TM will monitor attendance at required training by all staff and report to the relevant ROM, Human Resource Manager (HRM) and GMS variations The TM will write or co-ordinate the writing of assessments of all attendees on all courses to a format agreed with the HRM The TM will provide advice to attendees of course dates, times and attendance requirements The TM will source and book training venues and attendee travel and accommodation for as required FRANCHISEE & AGENT TRAINING The TM will co-ordinate with the NDM training as required for existing and new Franchisees and Agents. The TM will assist ROM in on-site training in product & system knowledge at new Franchise locations. The TM will provide Franchisees and Agents information on training opportunities and facilitate attendance on courses. Where necessary the TM will co-ordinate invoicing Franchisees and Agents for training. EMPLOYEE ELECTED TRAINING The TM will develop, implement and manage the approval process for employee elected training. The TM will co-ordinate RSR generated invitations for employees to undertake external needs based training.

5 The TM will assess applications for employee elected training and responses to invitations to undertake external needs based training. The TM will assess employee elected training performance and recommend to the GMS if funding requests for should be approved. ADMINISTRATION The TM will develop and maintain a whole of company register by employee of RSR training undertaken and completed, employee elected training undertaken and completed independent external training. The TM will develop and maintain by employee a register of external professional and other qualifications SECONDARY DUTIES Attend meetings as requested and required by the GMS or MD RSR may add to these duties at any time.
