2 Dear Colleagues, Welcome to this 6th international meeting focused on both innovations and state-of-the-art clinical knowledge and techniques in Dental Implantology. Encouraged from the previous years with a lot positive feedback we have again invited a number of highly respected clinicians to share their experience and present their step-by-step recipes for different relevant procedures. Saalbach-Hinterglemm is one of the leading ski-resorts in the Alps and we have once more booked the Alpine Palace hotel which offers perfect facilities to organize our seminars and workshops. We are fortunate that several implant companies support us generously, thus we will be joined by several world leaders in the field of surgical and prosthetic implant dentistry. Periodontal plastic surgery will be a prominent topic throughout the week. We will learn about successful techniques such as different mucosal tunnel-techniques and innovative flap designs. The objective of other lectures and courses will be to present basic considerations, keys to success as well as long term results and complications for different clinical procedures. During the morning sessions workshops will provide excellent training for several surgical procedures. Simultaneously we organize small group expert meetings to discuss controversial and innovative clinical topics. The afternoon sessions are a pure gold collection of high standard lectures with world renowned teachers. We are so proud that all these experts will spend some time with us and share their knowledge and expertise. The symposium will be of interest to a wide range of clinicians and Hinterglemm will provide a most stimulating atmosphere to combine high class continuing education and a refreshing change from our daily clinical work-load. 5 INFORMATION Our approved concept of clinically oriented continuing education will be again based on three different formats of teaching and learning augmentation. The Workshops: Don t miss to improve your skills and practical know-how in these intensive hands-on-training courses. A broad spectrum of topics, such as soft and hard tissue augmentation, complication management, application of piezo surgery, immediate implant placement and others, will be covered during the week. Meet the experts: In these presentations and discussions we are gathering in small groups to learn, repeat and explore specific themes. It is like an exchange market of opinions under the guidance of experts in the field who bring in their knowledge and experience in an open and honest way. The Seminar: The afternoon lectures will include a wide range of subject areas of dental implantology and beyond. As we are meeting for an entire week in a very relaxed atmosphere you will get to know deep insights in the clinical concepts and techniques of the experts we have invited to share their experience with you.
