Your workplace can join this nationalwide movement by helping raise funds through our Paint Your workplace Yellow campaign. Workplace fundraising events are incredibly fun, build workplace spirit and foster leadership skills, while raising money for a cause that your friends, family, and coworkers care about. Funds raised through Daffodil Month help cancer patients and their families by funding lifesaving research and support services so that more Canadians survive and no one has to face cancer alone. Support your local Canadian Cancer Society Community Office Here are some fundraising ideas to help raise additional funds in the fight against Cancer! Spare change drive did you know if you fill an empty water bottle with dimes you will have over $100 Matching Funds ask your CEO/President to match the total raised by your staff or to be the leading donor for your organization. Publicize your organization's efforts in the fight against cancer in your company newsletter/website/twitter or Facebook. Barbecue Lunches prepare and sell barbecue lunches Set up a used book sale for a donation table in a common area Brown Bag Lunch Day everyone brings in their own lunch and donates the money they would have spent to Daffodil Month. "Dress Down to Fight Back" employees pay to dress casually on certain days. Garage Sale Table encourage staff to bring in 'unwanted' items, they could be someone else's treasure! 6 Canadian Cancer Society Events Residential Campaign April 1 to 30, 2015 Throughout April, volunteers meet with friends and neighbours to fight back during our April Residential Campaign. By canvassing doortodoor, you have the opportunity to help us fund research and support services for those living with cancer. We could use your help. f you are interested in helping with the Residential Campaign please contact Karen Beaulieu at x Daffodil Days April 9 12 & 16 19, Volunteers will be needed to sell daffodil pins at various retail outlets. We will be looking for students who need their 40 hours and Adults who truly want to make a difference. We will need people to help schedule the 7 towns we cover, volunteers to cover the shifts and drivers to deliver and pick up supplies. We will cover the towns of Aurora, Newmarket, Bradford, Keswick, Mount Albert, Schomberg, Sharon and Sutton over 2 weekends in April.
