2 CheersFromTheChair We vehadabitofchillintheairforthelastfewnights.iguessthataftersuchawarm October,fallisfinallyhere.Theleavesonmystonefruitsareturningcolorandstartingtodrop, althoughmyappletreeidresoluteinitsdesiretonotdropasingleleaf.iguessiwillbestrippingit byhandinafewweekstime NowisthetimeofyearwhenIlookbackoverthepastseasonandtakestockofbothmy successesandmyfailures.likemostpeople,ihavehadmyshareofbothonthesuccessside,i wasabletotryclosetothreedozendifferentdragonfruitvarietiesfrommyownyard,withafew morenewonesonthewayifitdoesnotgettoocoldoverthenextcoupleofweeks.afterspending timebuildinguparidiculouscollectionofpitahaya,itwasnicetobeabletothinthecollection, gettingridofonesthatididnorcarefor.unfortunatelythenumberilikefaroutweighthenumber IdidnotlikeAnothersoontobesuccessismyfirstmango.FruitsfrommyNamDocMaitreeare almostripeandiwillbegettingtoenjoythemsoon Onthenotassuccessfulside,thesuccessionofwarmwintershasreallyleftitsmarkonmy stonefruits.thefruitingwasweaktononexistentallthewayaround,andthevegetativegrowth waspooronallmytrees.elninoornot,wereallyneedsomecooldaysandchillhoursthiswinter togivemypeachesandplumsa goodnightssleep. Mybiggestsuccessoftheyear?Thathastobehavingthehonortoserveaschairofour chapter.thepeopleihavemet,storiessharedandgoodtimeshadhavebeenwonderful.ilook forwardtothenextyearandhelpingtomakethischapterevenmoreexciting,dynamicand interesting. Ittakestimeandefforttokeepourgroupfunctioning,butasIhavebeentoldmanytimes itsnotreallyworkifyouenjoyit.
