3 one way to ensure veterans health issues are addressed and influence Human Security issues, is ensure veterans champions keep up the focus. Champions should exist at all levels of government. Councils sign Armed Forces Covenant, many do nothing. Local government watchdog say not enough for councils to pay lip service Farmer, B, Councils must do more to keep covenant with Armed Forces 2

4 Breakfast Clubs They are completely FREE. No subs or joining fees. All you pay for is your own breakfast. WWII veterans, and those suffering hardship 3

5 Breakfast Clubs Founded in 2007 in Hull by a Sapper. Clubs tailor themselves to suit their own demographic. Each has an admin, with support from a team of National Administrators. 4

6 Breakfast Clubs Involvement ends isolation Giving a sense of belonging. returned to the tribe Not affiliated to any charities. Raffles & events to support the group & Veterans. 5

7 Breakfast Clubs We have seen first-hand the huge positive impact Breakfast Clubs are having on the lives of so many veterans and their families. The mutual support they afford, and connections they make, even outside of the clubs is incredible. 6
