1 27 TH Annual Gala THE STATE OF WOMEN S HEALTH ABOUT SWHR The Society for Women s Health Research (SWHR ) will host its 27th Annual Gala: The State of Women s Health on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Washington, D.C, with a 6 p.m. reception followed by dinner and awards ceremony from 7 to 9 p.m. SWHR is the premier thought-leader in promoting women s health and research on biological differences in disease. Due to SWHR s efforts over the past twenty seven years, funding for research on women s health has increased, women are increasingly included in clinical trials, and sex differences that affect prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases are increasingly recognized and reported. BENEFITING The future of women s health depends on the generosity of people like you. It is an exciting time with so much research underway and more to come research that wouldn t be possible without your support. Proceeds from the event will benefit SWHR s science, advocacy, and educational programs, aimed to ensure that women s health remains a national priority. She specializes in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and hormonal issues related to gynecology patients and menopause.
