5 Lessons Learnt During the course of reinforcing cage construct, some reinforcing bars needed to be trimmed to fit. This was done in close to an access route.
6 Lessons Learnt As someone walked past the area were the cutting was taking place, it caused the material to move
7 Lessons Learnt The movement caused the blade of the disc cutter to jam in the material and fracture the blade.
8 Lessons Learnt The flying piece of blade hit the operators hand, but it could have been far worse. ALWAYS CLAMP MATERIAL WHEN CUTTING and use THE CORRECT GLOVES.

12 Updates GCC memberships recorded as of Jan 2015: 538 Paid members 819 applications awaiting document submission / verification 232 applications awaiting payment IIRSM ME Linkedin Group - over 2470 members (5 th April 2015) Qatar Memberships: Our records show 157 Members ( and 2 Corporate Members) We are clarifying those applications that are in progress and awaiting documents or payment.
13 Updates Qatar Local Patronage discussions are ongoing, we hope to make a formal announcement in the near future. Summer Meetings meetings will be continued (except July), dates will be confirmed in due course. ME No current notable updates UK Greg Brown, IIRSM Deputy Chief Executive is currently in the UAE and will visit Qatar early next week.
