With a great sense of gratitude, we acknowledge the service, selflessly provided by all members including the past presidents and committees. We are greatly indebted to our seniors for their valuable advice, cooperation and encouragement from time to time. We would like to acknowledge the contribution of youth, our most valuable asset. We urge them to come forward and make our community a vibrant organization by assuming more active and leading roles. We would like to thank those members who supported community through membership and generous donations. We are also thankful to our sponsors and advertisers. If you like to see changes, please take action and get involved. We will progress if you offer your time, energy and skills for the improvement of our community. Now, you can pay membership and give donation online from our web site. We have matrimonial classified and web advertisement as well. 3 Samaj Good News and Announcements (1) Congratulations to Ketan & Urmi Pandya of Guelph, Ontario for the Janoi Ceremony Yagnopavit of their sons Nakul & Manav along with his sister Muni Joshi's son Daksh on June 23rd Pandya family would like to thank all relatives, guest and Kishorbhai Jani (Maharaj) for their presence & blessings. Ketan Pandya is our committee Member. (2) Congratulations to Rachana Purohit daughter of our committee member Mrs. Bindu Ketan Purohit for her achievement in Bharatnatyam. After 7 years of hard training and dedication and blessings of Lord Nataraj and Guru Mrs. Kanan Bhatt, Rachana achieved her Bharatnatyam Arangetram on June 16th Her two-hour solo dance performance was graceful and touching. (3) Bhagavat & Pravina Pandya celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on 21st April 2012 at Grand Empire Banquet Hall, in Brampton, with family and friends. (4) Prashant and Jyoti Trivedi celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in December 2011 at Sringeri Banquet Hall in Etobicoke, with family and friends. (5) Our representation at Federation of Gujarati Association (FOGA): Prashant Trivedi and Hemant Thakar will represent as board directors. Jatin Pandya, Mehul Vyas and Saurin Dave will represent as board members. (6) Sanatan Mandir (SMCC) is offering free Janoi changing ceremony. Interested Brahmans should contact Mandir for more details. Samaj Sad News and Announcements (7) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shree Mukundbhai Kantilal Bhatt, beloved husband of Jyotiben, father of Devang and Keyuri, father-in-law of Usha and Mike and grandfather of Sonia, Annika and Anjalie. Mukundbhai passed away peacefully at York Central Hospital, Toronto on June 14th 2012 at the age of 73. (8) Rasilaben's Dave s eldest brother Shree Chandrakantbhai Laljibhai Modha passed away in Leicester, UK on April 26th Chandrakantbhai was originally from Dar es Salaam. (9) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shree Mulshanker (George) Vyas at the age of 83 years on March 11th 2012 at St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto. He leaves his wife Kalavati, his sons Yogesh, Naresh and Elena, his daughter Hema and Robert Murdock, his grandchildren Shekha, Stewart and Douglas. (10)It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Balagauri Ratilal Vyas (wife of the late Shree Ratilal Vyas), Mother to Jayantbhai Vyas and the Late Renukaben Jayant Vyas, Jagdishbhai Vyas and Jyotiben Jagdish Vyas, Vishnubhai Vyas and Mradulaben Vishnu Vyas, Hasmukhben Mahendra Raval and the Late Mahendrakumar Raval, the Late Ansuyaben Madhukant Dave and Madhukant Dave, Late Ramagauri Rasiklal Trivedi and Late Rasiklal Trivedi, Late Shardaben Prataprai Dave and Late Prataprai Dave, and Late Triguna Himatlal Trivedi and Late Himatlal Trivedi. Our dear Moti Ba passed away peacefully on July 5th 2012, at the age of 100 years. She leaves behind 29 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 10 great great grand kids.
