Students in chorus and 6-8 band will need to return a permission slip to take a bus to the 3:30 PM rehearsal. All are welcome to attend the performance at Camden Hills Regional High School on April 4 th. We'll see you there! From Nurse Sonya Many students and staff members have been affected by recent illness. Common symptoms have been nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, headache, fever and fatigue. Rest, hydration and time seem to be the key to getting over this streak of sickness. Please keep others in mind if you and/or your child are sick and stay home if needed. Washing hands frequently and covering your cough/sneeze will help to avoid spreading the germs. Please see your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen and keep the school office notified of any confirmed diagnosis.

3 The Appleton Village School Committee s monthly meeting agendas and minutes are posted on our school website as they become available from our central office. News From The Appleton Library ~ COMMUNITY NEWS ~ On Saturday, April 8, at 10:30 AM, join us for an informal reception (parents are encouraged to bring children ages 7 and up) given by Deb Vendetti regarding her graphite and eraser drawings currently on display. Ms. Vendetti will demonstrate and discuss materials used and her approach to mark making. She will be available for questions and conversation. Tea and coffee will be available at this exciting event. About Deb Vendetti: During a period of almost twenty years, Ms. Vendetti participated as a member in artist-run cooperatives: Artfellows in Belfast, Gallery 407 in Rockland, and in Union of Maine Visual Arts. Ms. Vendetti continues to enjoy putting marks on paper with a variety of media...including the recording of "light" for digital image making. Easter Day Community Dinner There is a Community Dinner on Sunday, April 16, at St. Peter s Episcopal Church (off Limerock Street and behind the Recreational Center & Playground in Rockland). Dinner is FREE to the public all are welcome. Appetizers will be served at 12 Noon and dinner at 1:00 PM. The dinner is provided by people and businesses in our community. FMI: or info@adasyoshuron.org CHRHS Bands To Hold Spring Concert Camden Hills Regional H.S. Bands, under the direction of Nancy Rowe, will hold their annual Spring Concert to be held on Thursday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Strom Auditorium. Groups to be featured include the CHRHS Concert and Jazz Bands. Admission to the concert is free. Special Needs Open House On April 29, 10:00-1:00, there will be a chance to meet police, fire and ambulance personnel and look at the equipment they use. This event will help build trust, and a relationship and communication between the special needs community and families and the first responders. This Open House is at 125 Spruce Head Road, South Thomaston and is sponsored by the South Thomaston Fire Department. Refreshments will be served. 3
