For example, how to start a non-profit, grant writing, and fundraising. Patty has been supremely blessed and can't wait to share the blessings with you. "A non-profit ministry of horseback riding and therapeutic riding for all ages." 10:45-11:40am Family Ministry and Paint Therapy The team from Glory Reins Ranch will describe and demonstrate two unique programs they utilize at their ranch ministry called "Family Sessions" and "Paint Therapy." The first is a special time for families to come together for a fun bonding experience with each other and the horses. During this quality time and unique type of session, they hope the dynamic between parent/guardian and child will be strengthened through encouragement, games and fellowship. Second, at Glory Reins Ranch they use Horse Paint Therapy, a nonverbal therapeutic tool, to help reach those who have difficulty expressing painful experiences in words. This process is used as a bridge in order to see into the world of our guest and what they may be dealing with. By discovering what the source of the pain is, we can focus our efforts to aid in healing. Robin and her team will walk attendees through a sample Paint Therapy session with clinic attendees using a Wings of Hope Ranch rescue horse. 2 SATURDAY JULY 23 11:45-12:40 pm SESSION TITLE Ranch Ministry Vision and DESCRIPTION Kim will share the vision, story and success of their PRESENTER NAME AND Kim Tschirret TITLE Development ministry "Hope Reins" as well as guide clinic attendees CEO and Founder in developing their own vision and development plan. 12:45-1:40 pm Lunch We will enjoy a lunch prepared for the attendees and have some free time to fellowship and share ideas. Hope Reins 1:40-2:35 pm Easy, Cheap and In-House: Marketing Solutions With a background in fine art, composition, and color, creativity is easy for Abby! However, she missed the digital media boom by about 1 year! Abby claims to have more disqualifications to speak on this topic than qualifications. Her self described ignorance of photo shop and lack of budget to hire a graphic designer led her to look for solutions. Abby will share the excellent resources she found to help her, that can also help you, to create beautiful graphics when hiring a marketing team isn't an option. Abby has a background in engaging audiences and public speaking, curriculum development, teaching and also has a Masters in Christian Education. Abby McCabe Director of Programming and Development 2:45-3:40 pm Branding and Culture Management Barbara will share her branding and culture management expertise that has helped Hope Reins thrive and grow as a well known ministry, brand and culture in NC. 3 3:50-4:45 pm Incorporating Faith Based Principles in both EAL and Personal Horsemanship Horsemanship is physical and emotional, but is it also spiritual? This session includes Ashley demonstrating with a Wings of Hope horse in the round pen explaining how Biblical Counseling and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy go hand in hand. Ashley will talk about and demonstrate some of the ways to incorporate and strengthen faith based counseling in to existing equine therapies. In addition, Ashley will talk about how horsemanship can strengthen your relationships with God, give you purpose and create both a better you and a better horse! 4 10:00-10:55 am Open EAL Group Support Session using the EAGALA model (with Audience Participation) Dianne & Kristen will talk briefly about how all nonprofits and organizations or businesses go thru some challenging times. Challenges can be big or small but they are all important. The importance lies in how they are approached internally with staff & volunteers, because ultimately they will affect the populations they serve. The EAGALA model has the flexibility to not only be EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy) but also EAL (Equine Assisted Learning). Clinic attendees from the audience, who are willing to share a work related challenge, are invited to work through it in the ring with Dianne, Kristin and Wings of Hope horses. It will be lovely to see the participants leave the arena with either a challenge solved, or new tools and new views on how to go home and approach it. 5 1:45-2:45 pm Capacity to Serve: Volunteer and Internship Programs 3:00-4:00 pm National Day of the Cowboy Festivities Hilary will share several "easy to duplicate" and successful programs that Hope Reins has initiated to attract and retain both volunteers and interns to serve in their ranch ministry in North Carolina. The presentation will primarily be on the structure of our two programs, and WHY that has been successful. Capacity to serve the community is dependent on the human resources of your organization. Hilary wants to share with everyone how they have seen God use Volunteers and Interns to allow us to increase our program capacity. She will share how we structured our intern program, how we recruit program volunteers and interns and how we have learned to BEST utilize these people. Wrap up the weekend enjoying the cowboy fun at the fairgrounds before you head home! Grab a root beer float in the saloon, shop in the vendor booths and network til 4 pm.
