You will find friendly staff able to provide you with the support you need to use all of the resources that we have on offer. The best starting point will be to come in to the library at Gippsland, meet the staff and ask them for this brochure. It contains details of our loan conditions, BONUS+, outlines our online services and resources, opening hours and how you can get help when you need it. The Library operates a chat service from our webpage as well as an FAQ database. You can find these services here: The library is now offering online Researching and Referencing Skills classes for all students. FedUni students, anywhere, and with an internet connection, can join the virtual classroom to learn about: - Finding stuff for your assignments - APA referencing - EndNote web Class dates and times are listed in the Library Virtual Classroom Moodle, where you can browse the schedule and register your interest in participating.

3 INTERNATIONAL Check In Week Check In Week is an opportunity to engage with University staff and to also get assistance from a range of support services to ensure that your academic progress is on track. We held a range of activites during the week including, breakfast with FedUni Living, the launch of the new chaplaincy service, mini health checks, rocking bull, sumo suit wrestling, giant games, build your own burger free lunch, and staff vs student challenges. We would like to thank everyone for getting involved in the week and participating in the activities. If you do have concerns in regards to your study, make sure you chat with your mentors and academic staff or simply just pop in to the Student Connect Office to find out what support services we provide. Alternatively call us on Mount Baw Baw The long anticipated Mount Baw Baw day trip to the snow has finally happened and what an event it was! With a bus load of students and our FedUni Living representatives the day was a huge sucess! A huge thank you to FedUni Living for all the preparations behind the scenes. BE be the THE voice VOICE Help run events, inform us on what International students want and help new students settle in at the start of semester. These volunteer positions are open to ALL students: International, CALD and domestic. Please spread the word and get nominating TODAY! international.ss@federation.edu.au or call into the Student Connect Office 3N 102 for more information Nominations are now open for Multicultural Peer Supporter and Committee members for These students help us run events for International/CALD students, inform us on what students want, and help our new students settle in at the start of semester. The volunteer positions are open to ALL students - International and Domestic and run from October to October. It s a great chance to build skills, meet new people, help others and it looks great on your resume! Please spread the word and get nominating today! If you re interested in either one of these volunteer positions then please us for more information: international.ss@federation.edu.au Walhalla day Trip Saturday 10th September Dont forget about our Walhalla Day Trip! Walhalla is a village of old heritage buildings, this facinating old town is full of history and gives you a glimps of what life was like in the years of Victoria s Goldrush. Heading straight into town we start off on a Gold Mine Tour, followed by a BYO picnic lunch and afterwards you will have a chance to explore the old buildings of the gold mining village and also the cemetery. To finish we will be catching the historic train from Walhalla station winding through the bush to Thomson Station. There are limited spots so make sure you pop into Student Connect and put your name down.

Dave Hughes and Tom Siegert are going to provide an endless night of entertainment with proceeds being donated to Latrobe Regional Hospital Heart to Heart Appeal. For $70 per ticket, you will be provided a 2 course meal and drinks are available at bar prices. Contact Danny on Dragon Abreast Dragonboating Every Saturday Time: 10am Where : South Side of Lake Guthridge, McIntosh Drive, Sale Breast Cancer Awareness via Dragon Boating.
