2 THINGS TO BRING TO THE ANNUAL MEETING Here are a few items we suggest you bring to the meeting. Your meeting registration confirmation* Photo ID for registration Business cards you will meet a lot of new people Download the MDRT Event Guide from your app store Download session handouts from handouts.mdrt.org, org or view them on the MDRT Event guide app *Meeting confirmations sent out via beginning May 31. PLEASE NOTE: In order to provide for the safety of our attendees, any personal items left unattended in any session room will be confiscated by security. Also, luggage will not be allowed to be brought into any session room at any time. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.

3 GETTING TO THE MEETING Meeting location: Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia 1100 Arch Street Philadelphia, PA Housing and Registration inquiries: Contact Experient Once I get to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, where do I go for my registration materials? Go to the registration area in Hall B. In your registration packet will be a comprehensive program book outlining all sessions and events. Registration hours: Saturday, June 8 11 a.m. 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 11 7 a.m. 4 p.m. Sunday, June 9 7:30 a.m. 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 7 a.m. 2 p.m. Monday, June 10 7 a.m. 4 p.m.

4 PREPARING FOR THE ANNUAL MEETING How can I connect with other attendees before the meeting? Facebook: Facebook is a great place to post your photos, talk with others and share why you go to the Annual Meeting. There is an event page where people can show that they are planning to attend. or #MDRT2013 Before, during and after the MDRT meeting, you can share your experience by using the #MDRT2013 hashtag and MDRT Network: The MDRT Network is MDRT s private online network. Talk to members in a closed environment about anything that is important to you and your business.

5 BADGES AND TICKETS When will I receive my meeting badge and tickets? You will receive your meeting badge and your pre-paid event tickets at the Advance Registration counter in Hall B of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Your badge is your access to all events. Some events require a ticket. t If you lose your badge, you will have to purchase a new badge at the on-site registration fee. Only registered attendees may attend official functions or events of the Annual Meeting.

6 WHAT TO EXPECT What is the meeting format? There are five different types of presentations at the MDRT Annual Meeting: Main Platform Large general assembly presentations where all attendees gather in one hall to hear a lineup of back-to-back presentations. Topics cover MDRT Whole Person content and offer something for everyone. Focus Sessions Smaller session rooms that feature one speaker/topic. These sessions are more targeted and technical in nature. Each typically lasts one hour. Idea Exchanges Large group settings where a moderator allows individual audience members to share their best sales, practice management or marketing ideas. ConneXion Zone Presentations Quick, 10- to 15-minute presentations in the ConneXion Zone. Lunch and Breakfast Sessions Ticketed (additional cost), sit-down meal events featuring one speaker or topic. Outside the Box This fun, new session track is designed to offer new networking opportunities to attendees. See your on-site program book for more information. Top of the Table Sessions Sessions open to all attendees that offer high-level, Top of the Table- caliber content.

7 WHAT TO EXPECT Where can I find a schedule of events? Schedules are available at On site, all attendees will be given a program book that provides the details of each day and presentation speakers. If you bring a smartphone or tablet to the meeting, you can download the MDRT Event Guide. Visit your Android, Blackberry or Apple market, and search for the MDRT Event Guide.

8 THINGS TO KNOW ProgramGeneral Arrangements (PGA) Committee At the MDRT Annual Meeting, you will see members wearing hats helping to greet members as they register, directing foot traffic, answering questions and offering guidance to attendees. These are volunteer members who have signed up to help the meeting run smoothly. Volunteering for one of these positions helps you meet new people, get a behind the scene s look at the MDRT Annual Meeting, and is the first step in getting involved in the MDRT Committee Leadership System. Volunteer on site at the PGA Meeting Involvement booth in the registration area of Hall B.

9 THINGS TO KNOW HELPFUL MDRTMEETING MEETING TERMS Program General Arrangements (PGA) Member volunteers who help the meeting run smoothly. Anyone can volunteer in the registration area for various jobs. Top of the Table MDRT s top member category, which includes members producing at least six times the MDRT production level. Court of the Table An MDRT member category that includes members producing at three times the MDRT production level. First Time Attendee Someone who has never attended an MDRT Annual Meeting. You can recognize them by their green meeting badge. Past Presidents Can be recognized by their gold name badge and black blazer with MDRTlogo. Tweet Team Member attendees who share their meeting experience via Twitter and other social media outlets. MDRT Bands Made up entirely of MDRT members, these bands can be found at events and in halls bringing i a little fun and entertainment t t to your day to day. d

10 THINGS TO KNOW HELPFUL MDRT MEETING TERMS Quarter Century Club Members for 25 years or longer. There are special invitation only events for these members. First Time Experience (FTE) A special kickoff session for first time attendees welcoming them to their first meeting. Idea Exchange Open mic sessions at the meeting where individual members can share a quick idea with an audience. Top of the Table Connect At 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, the ConneXion Zone will open to all attendees for a special opportunity to learn from Top of the Table members. MDRT Power Center Store MDRT s store located in the ConneXion Zone, where members can purchase books, audio and video of presentations, insignia items and meeting mementos. ConneXion Zone Located in Hall B, the ConneXion Zone offers quick presentations on ideas, technology and products. Meet with exhibitors, members, speakers and MDRT legends. It s also a great place to connect with friends and have some fun. MDRT Foundation Located within the ConneXion Zone, this is where you can support the Promise Appeal or find out how you can qualify for a charitable grant from the Foundation in your home town.

11 MDRT FOUNDATION SUPPORTING THE PROMISE APPEAL New this Year! It is now easier for you to make a donation to the MDRT Foundation s Promise Appeal during the Annual Meeting. You ll find a personalized MDRT Foundation donor card in your registration it ti kit. Just check your donation amount and bring your donor card to the MDRT Foundation Booth in the Power Center. Your charitable donation will support Free The Children s economic development programs for children and families in need, and the MDRT Foundation s global grant programs.

14 JUST FOR TOP OF THE TABLE Top of the Table golf shirts. This special gift shows Annual Meeting attendees you are a part of the prestigious Top of the Table and allows you to be recognized if they want to ask you questions. Get your shirts on Monday, June 10, at Top of the Table reception. In exchange for your golf shirt ticket and select your size (quantities are limited). On Tuesday, June 11, wear your new golf shirt. This allows attendees to recognize you and ask you questions, demonstrating why Top of the Table members are the best of the best. Get a great spot with special reserved seating at Main Platform. Seats are guaranteed up to 10 minutes prior to start of Main Platform. Look for the light blue seat covers, or ask a PGA member for help.
