1 MARCH 2016 HCC Newsletter THE EASTER SEASON MESSAGE SERIES This series will explore the dynamics affected by the Resurrection. It is, in fact, the one event that bears the most heavily on all human history and our individual histories (both for those who embrace or reject it). It recasts all of life and reality, past, present, and future in one fell swoop. It is one of the true cut and dried, black and white issues in all thinking and reality. INSIDE THIS ISSUE: J-Walkers 2 201: Spiritual Growth 2 Daylight Savings 2 Men & Women Small Groups 3 AA Meeting 4 Home Groups 4 Baptism 4 Volunteer 5 Marriage Conference 6 Please note that the church office will be closed on Monday, March 28th for the Easter holiday. So if it is true how and why does it carry the impact it does? If it is not, what are the implications of such a revelation? Join us on Sundays and find out!
2 MARCH 2016 J-WALKERS UPCOMING EVENTS Weekend of April 15th/16th Camping/Hiking TBA Saturday May 14th Hershey Park Trip- All Day Friday June 3rd Mini Golf, 7pm PAGE 2 201: SPIRITUAL GROWTH Many of your took the Spiritual Growth Assessment back in January. And the most highly desired experience going forward according to the Blue Sheets was: I would like to learn how to have an altar time to meet with God every day, through prayer, worship and Bible reading/ study. (Over 10 folks) And next highest interests were: I would like to learn about how we got the Bible and get oriented to it so I can find my way around in it. I would like to learn how to manage my finances and develop Biblical priorities with my money. Well good news for all of you On Sunday March 20 right after second service Pastor Allan is going to offer our 201 class which discusses some of these very things. It is a 3 hour class designed to introduce you to ways to have a time with God every day, understand more about the Bible and ways to study it, and how to establish godly priorities with your finances. Please sign up on line or at the information center in the fellowship hall. Lunch and childcare will be provided, but we need to know how many children and hungry folks to feed. Please join us for this great conversation and exploration. DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!
