2 United Action for Youth UAY is a nonprofit, United Way organization, which has been helping youth in Johnson County since UAY provides youth development and counseling programs to teens and families in Iowa City and surrounding communities in Iowa. UAY operates a Youth Center in downtown Iowa City that is open Thursday through Saturday Youth Development Programs Art Workshops Music Lessons Musical Recording Opportunities After-School Programs Youth Drop-In Center Academic Mentoring Program Ropes Course Community Youth Leadership Program School of the Arts Counseling Programs Youth and Family Counseling Teen Parent Program Transitional Living Program Runaway Basic Center Victim Support Program Teen Support Groups Divorce Workshops

3 The 7th Annual Festival of Flowers May 31st, 2012 Brown Deer Golf Club Festival of Flowers is a creative annual fundraiser that helps support UAY s Teen Parent, Youth Development, and Counseling Programs Through generous donations of time, talent and treasure the Festival of Flowers has evolved into more than a flower show and sale. Amateur gardeners, professional florists and gardeners, floral enthusiasts, youth and businesses have come together to create a visually breathtaking and delightful event. The day begins with a sneak peek during which the community and press can experience the displays in an unhurried manner and vote for their favorite creations while the judging panel makes their rounds. At 5:30 the party begins with wine and hors d oeuvres, live music and the silent auction. At 7:00pm, Mark Sharpless takes center stage and conducts the live auction of celebrity entries and other sought after items. The Festival of Flowers is the perfect kickoff to summer!

6 Sponsorship Opportunities As a sponsor of our Festival of Flowers, you will receive many opportunities to promote your business while supporting the mission of UAY. Choose the sponsorship opportunity that best meets your needs. In addition, your business has the opportunity to provide a floral arrangement or container garden that reflects your unique service to the community. Your arrangement may be accompanied by a 5x7 sign promoting your business. The arrangement will be auctioned off at the event. Thank you for your support! You are making a difference in the lives of youth.

7 Unforgettable $ As a presenting sponsor for the event your business will be listed on the reception invitation (mailed to over 500 greater Iowa City area residents and businesses).your business will have prominent logo visibility on all signage and paid advertising relating to the event, as well as at the show and reception. You will receive name recognition on UAY s website and in our Annual Report to the community. Additionally, your business name will be printed on tee shirts that will be sold for the event and you will receive 5 tickets to the Festival of Flowers on May 31, Perennial $750- $1499 The sponsorship benefits include your business name on the invitation, signage at the event with name recognition on all printed materials and paid advertising to promote the event. You will receive name recognition on UAY s website and in our Annual Report to the community. Additionally, your business name will be printed on tee shirts that will be sold for the event and you will receive 2 tickets to the Festival of Flowers on May 31, Blooming $250- $749 This sponsorship gives your business the opportunity to promote youth involvement in the flower show. You will help sponsor youth in their workshops to plant container gardens, arrange fresh flowers, and create varius floral crafts that will be available at the event. Your business will have visibility on all signage at the show and reception. You will receive name recognition on UAY s website and annual report to the community.
