1 Dear Friend, The Chester County Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #11 is presenting our Seventh Annual "Hero's Golf Tournament" on Monday, October 3,2011 at the Downingtown Country Club. Quite often the work of emergency responders goes overlooked. t is the responsibility of the Chester County F.O.P., which represents 51 police departments in Chester County, to provide security for those who dedicate their lives to law enforcement. While the purpose of the Chester County Hero Fund is to render financial assistance to the widows, children, and families who are lefi behind when an emergency responder is killed or seriously injured in the line of duty. Over 5,000 brave men and women serve Chester County in various capacities including police officers, deputy sheriffs, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and state troopers. n recent years, our emergency responders have become victims of crime and sacrificed their safety while serving the community. Once again, the golf tournament committee is seeking sponsors for this worthy cause. The success of any endeavor is dependent upon the generosity of our friends, neighbors, and local businesses through donations. With this in mind our committee has established five levels of sponsorship. We've included a copy of these levels, as well as, literature explaining the goals and objectives of the Chester County Fraternal Order of Police and the Chester County Hero Fund. f you feel that your organization can help our first responders achieve our goals, please contact any of the below tournament committee members. We sincerely thank you for your time, concern, and consideration. Stephen J. Jones, Willistown Police Department sjones@&stown.pa.us 1 (610) x254 George E. Dear Friends, The executive officers and members of Chester County '~odge#, Fraternal Order of Police, would like to thank you for your generous support of our six previous "Heroes Golf Tournaments." Because of the interest and support from individuals like you, the tournaments have been a huge success! We were able to continue to assist the law enforcement officers of Chester County with the many challenges they face on a daily basis. We were also able to provide generous assistance to the Chester County Hero Fund so that it may render the necessary financial assistance to the families of law enforcement officers, firefighters, ambulance and rescue personnel who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty. The Chester County Fraternal Order of Police consists of nearly 1000 law enforcement officers (active and retired) serving more than 50 departments throughout Chester County. These law enforcement professionals are united in an effort to improve their chosen profession and protect the welfare of all citizens in the community. The F.O.P. in Chester County has long been involved in community activities and charitable events to enhance the lives of our citizens and to foster respect for law enforcement. We are proud to be members of the largest Police Order in the United States. Please visit our website com - to learn more about our organization. Your support of our "Heroes Golf Tournament" will assist Lodge #11 in continuing to provide support and assistance, not only to the law enforcement professionals throughout Chester County, but also to thousands of additional "First Responders" in Chester County that one day may benefit from the assistance provided by the Chester County Hero Fund. Thank you for your generous support. Sincerely, Edward R. Toner President
5 Dear Friends, am writing to first, thank all those who supported our Hero Golf Tournament over the past six years. Thank you for that support and commitment. Your support directly benefits the Chester Countv Hero Fund and Chester County Fraternal Order of Police. Because of you, each Tournament has been more successful than the year before. We now look to build on that success with our seventh annual "Heroes Golf Tournament." The purpose of the Chester Countv Hero Fund is to render financial assistance to the widows, children and families who are left with little or no support when a police officer, deputy sheriff, firefighter, emergency medical technician, paramedic or state trooper loses his or her life or is seriously injured in the line of duty. There are over 5000 First Responders in Chester County with more than 600 being law enforcement officers. The major financial goal of the Hero Fund is to raise $1,000,000. We currently have raised over $440,000. By your participation and support of this golf tournament, you will directly help us achieve that goal. We are asking those concerned members of the public, both in the private and business sectors, to join us in making the "Heroes Golf Tournament" a tremendous success. Thank you in advance for your consideration and support. Should you have any questions about the Hero Fund, please do not hesitate to call me at We look forward to seeing you there on this special day. With appreciation and regards, am John P.
