5 FLORIDA STATE FRATERNAL OFPOUCe ORDER TRAINING COMMITTEE Presents OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTINGS Date: February 7,2017 (Tuesday) Time: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Lunch on your own) Location: Double Tree by Hilton Hotel Orlando at Sea World International Drive Orlando, FL Requested Donation: $25.00 per person (To Cover Workbooks & Travel) This course will focus on the criminal and internal representation of law enforcement & corrections officers involved in shootings and critical incident situations, as well as the civil liability of officer involved shootings. The class is designed to inform and update officers and supervisors on the rights of officers, duties of the investigators, procedures when an officer or witness becomes involved in a line of duty shooting involving death or injury and what will occur in the aftermath of an officer involved shooting/critical incident. This information can apply to other critical incidents such as in custody deaths & serious vehicle crashes. This class may qualify for 8 hours of CJSTC mandatory retraining & 9 hours of Florida Bar CLE's Instructors: George F. This is a must seminar and is not presented in a union perspective but in an impartial manner. The seminar will take the participant through the entire process from the time the complaint is received until the case is presented to FDLE-CJSTC.
