1 February 3rd, 2017 Pontiac News Important Dates to Remember Friday, February 3rd All 8th grade students will be registering for high school classes whether they are going to O Fallon or Belleville East and progress reports will be available online Monday, February 6th - Chess match at Belleville West at 4:00 pm Tuesday, February 7th Boys and girls volleyball away at West Jr High at 4:00 pm Wednesday, February 8th Chess practice at 7:30 am, bowling match at St. Clair at 4:00 pm, Scholar Bowl match at Pontiac at 4:00 pm, and band parent meeting at 6:30 pm Thursday, February 9th Scholar Bowl practice at 7:15 am, boys and girls volleyball away at Pontiac at 4:00 pm, and bowling match at Bel Air at 4:00 pm Friday, February 10th Chess practice at 7:30 am and 8th grade field trip to see Hidden Figures Monday, February 13th Boys and girls volleyball away at Pontiac at 4:00 pm, bowling match at St. Clair at 4:00 pm, Chess match at Belleville West at 4:00 pm Word of the Month Truthfulness in words and actions. Registration of classes at Pontiac Friday, February 3rd Honors English Placement Test will be on Saturday, February 11th, In order to take this test you must register by February 9th by calling Freshman Orientation Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 at 7:00 pm Belleville East Performing Arts Center (PAC) Chess Team and Scholar Bowl Update The Chess Team brought home a win and a loss from last night. We beat Wolf Branch 8-7, and we lost to Whiteside We did have wins from Dalton, Kaden, Caleb and Reynaldo. Way to go team! Parent/Teacher Conferences P/t conferences will be held on Wednesday, February 15th and Thursday, February 16th from 2:00 5:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. Valentine Day Grams Student Council will sell Valentine Day Grams starting this Friday, February 3rd and ending sales on Friday, February 10th. We will sell before school and during Fun Friday. You may choose to send your Valentine Skittles, Hershey chocolate bar, Hershey Cookies and Creme, or a Valentine Fun Dip. Grams are $1.00.

Acceptance into Honor Society is not automatically guaranteed based on any of the above. There are 3 total rounds of selection of which you must pass.
