7 SPEAKERS Andrés Rebage Arango, Managing Director Eugin Clinic, Barcelona, Spain Trained as a Chemical Engineer, Andrés early career concentrated on quality control. In 1999 he completed a Masters in Total Quality Management followed by a further Masters in Production Management in Barcelona. In 2002 he started working in Eugin Clinic, implementing a total quality management system. On taking the role of Operations Manager for the clinic he focused his attention on growth and profitability. Between 2006 and 2009 the company grew by 98%. SPEAKERS Since becoming Managing Director in 2010 the company has undergone a professionalisation process in each of its respective departments, growing by 65%, achieving a very high profitability and attracting a range of patients from 9 main markets and overall from 78 different countries. Eugin Clinic is currently ranked as one of the top IVF centres in Europe.

8 Dr Laura Rienzi, Senior Clinical Embryologist and Lab Director GENERA Centres for Reproductive Medicine, Italy Dr Laura Rienzi graduated magna cum laude in 1993 at the University of Rome, then gained II Level Master at the University of Padova. She was Adjunct Professor of Clinical Embryology at the University of Perugia for 4 years. Certified as Senior Clinical Embryologist by the ESHRE Society, she is currently President of the Italian Society of Embryology, Reproduction and Research (SIERR) as well as Faculty Adviser for PhD and Bachelor students at various Italian universities. Her clinical embryology activity started in Paris in 1994 as a research fellow at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine, Hôpital Necker. She held the position of Laboratory Director of the IVF Centre at the European Hospital of Rome for more than 10 years and in 2008 she was appointed Laboratory Director of the GENERA centres for Reproductive Medicine in Italy (Rome, Umbertide, Marostica, Naples). Author and co-author of more than 100 original research papers, reviews and book chapters on laboratory aspects of ART, she has been in the Editorial Board of Human Reproduction, Focus on Reproduction, and the Italian Journal of Reproductive Medicine 2PN. She is currently on the Editorial Board of RBM online and Fertility and Sterility, Editor in Chief of the International Journal Current Trends in Clinical Embryology.

9 Ronny Janssens, Quality Manager UZ Brussels, Belgium Graduating from the Stedelijk Instituut voor Technisch Onderwijs in Mechelen in 1978 with a degree in clinical chemistry, Ronny started his career at the Radio Immuno Assay laboratory at the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussels in He joined the team of Prof. André Van Steirteghem and Prof. Paul Devroey as an embryologist in Since then he has been involved in the start-up and development of the IVF laboratory at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine. SPEAKERS Ronny Janssens is currently the Quality Manager of the Centre for Reproductive Medicine of the Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel where he was responsible for the implementation of a quality system and accreditation according to ISO and later ISO He has been an ESHRE member since 1985 and cofounder of the paramedical group within ESHRE.

10 Lieve Decaluwe, Centre Manager UZ Brussels, Belgium After obtaining a Master Degree in Commercial Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULeuven) in 1985, Lieve Decaluwe started her career as Scientific Assistant at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of KULeuven. From 1987 she actively pursued a career within the hospital sector; working as a Manager of the Hospital Division at ACC (a software company specialising in the hospital sector), a Healthcare Consultant at Ernst & Young, an Internal Consultant at GZA Hospitals Antwerp, the Administrative Manager of the Abdomen and Oncology Division at the University Hospital UZ Leuven and the Organisation and Exploitation Manager at the University Hospital UZ Brussel. In 2008 she has was appointed Manager of the Center of Reproductive Medicine (CRG) at UZ Brussel. Supporting the Department Head in the organisation and development of CRG, she is also responsible for non-medical disciplines with a specific focus on the organisational, financial, legal and personnel-related aspects, ICT and infrastructure. She has coordinated various projects including those CRG has initiated in the Middle-East. In addition since 2015, she has held the position of Adjunct to the CEO at UZ Brussel with the responsibility for hospital-wide projects and networking activities.

11 Rachel Cutting, Principal Embryologist Jessop Fertility, Sheffield, United Kingdom Rachel Cutting is Principal Embryologist / Quality Manager / Person Responsible at Jessop Fertility, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is a member of the HFEA s licensed centres panel and was a member of the Association of Clinical Embryologists (ACE) executive committee for 10 years including holding the position of chair from SPEAKERS She has also been involved in developing national guidelines for the implementation of eset (elective single embryo transfer) and oocyte freezing. Rachel is an assessor for the Association of Clinical Scientists. Rachel has been involved in developing the national training program for embryologists including writing the curriculum for the Reproductive Scientist Training Program. She has an active role both internationally and nationally, speaking at conferences and undertaking consultancy work.
