STATEMENT OF NEED/PROGRAM OVERVIEW Multidisciplinary Strategies for Optimal Cardiovascular Care will focus on new developments, treatments, and technology available for General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Electrophysiology, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. EDUCATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to: Summarize the latest advances in technology, testing, and imaging for the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular disease. Discuss advanced cholesterol analysis and treatment. Assess surgical indications and outcomes in ischemic heart disease. Recognize new state of the art technology for amputation prevention. PHYSICIAN ACCREDITATION STATEMENT This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through a joint sponsorship with the New Cardiovascular Horizons Foundation. Continuing Medical Education Resources is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Continuing Medical Education Resources designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
