Department of Health Service Support, Ministry of Public Health, Visual impairment is a crucial public health problem for world population. The World Health Organization (WHO) globally estimated in 2010 that approximately 285 million people are affected by visual impairment. Of those, 39 million are blind people and the rest (246 million) are low vision cases. It is also our great concerns that 90% of these groups live in the Low and Middle Income countries, and 80% of visual impairment can be prevented or cured if they could receive early detection and treatment/rehabilitation. Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Naresuan University co-operated with Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health,, The Royal college of Ophthalmologists of, Association of Thai Optometrists and Thai Optometric Association are pleased to organize the International Conference on Medical Rehabilitation and Prevention of Blindness (ICRPB 2015) on the occasion of the 25 th anniversary of Naresuan University. This event will be the 1 st international conference on the Medical Rehabilitation and Prevention of Blindness in ASEAN. This is a very special occasion to share knowledge and experiences gained from both
2 clinical practicing and research among multidisciplinary team for patients with impaired vision. This conference will also be an invaluable opportunity to build international networks and partnerships among health professionals and other relating groups. 5. Objectives 1. To extend and exchange both implicit and explicit knowledge and experiences gained from both clinical practicing and research in the field of visual care. 2. To promote international networking and cooperating among health professionals and other relating groups. 6.
