2 WELCOME ADDRESS Dear colleagues, dear friends, Endocrine surgery has developed tremendously during the last few years with minimally invasive procedures, new localization techniques, and more complex neoadjuvant procedures including medical, surgical, and nuclear medical treatment. Additionally some diseases have new definitions and pathophysiological explanations demanding an update of our understanding supported by international experts in the field. We are happy to invite you to three days of active lectures, videos, interactive learning sessions, and hands on in endocrine surgery as well as to an interesting social program with activities in the beautiful surrounding of the monastery of Seeon in Southern Bavaria, between Munich and Salzburg/Austria. We hope we inspired you and would be happy to see you in Seeon.
