2 Christian Education Fall Registration. The Ministry's goal is GROWING EACH OF US INTO BETTER DISCIPLES - spiritually, financially and emotionally. Spiritual growth classes include Growing in Christ, Spiritual Formation, the Battlefield of the Mind and the Fruit of the Spirit. Financial classes include Your Money Counts and the Financially Confident Women. This year there are also overall WELLNESS classes including Zumba, Total Body Circuit Training and a You Will get Through This Training Classes. Classes are offered for children, youth and adults. 3 IMPORTANT MINISTRY ANNOUNCEMENTS YES-Mentoring Ministries (formally DOI & ROP) Facilitator Recruitment. If You love the Lord and have a passion for working with young people come join a dedicated team of facilitators helping to build disciples of Jesus Christ and rebuild lives of youth by connecting them to Jesus Christ through Discipleship, Stewardship, Relationship and Fellowship. Mentoring Ministries goals are to 1. Builds Disciples 2. Meet needs of youth 3. Honor GOD with Excellence; by helping our young people navigate the challenges of culture and become all that God intended them to become. To learn more about our YES-Mentoring Ministries facilitating opportunities or to join the team, please see a Mentoring representative after each service in the multipurpose room today Sunday, August 14th. The MSBC Greeters Ministry is seeking 10 dedicated volunteers to serve on this ministry. Three Sunday shifts are available for your convenience - 7:00AM, 9:00AM, or 11:00AM. Those interested, please contact Ministry Leaders Wayne Osborne or Dee Bradley in the church lobby on any Sunday. You Need Care Too - Our Caregivers Ministry will host a Pamper YOU Day on Saturday, August 20th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the Church. The Children s Ministry will host a Back to School Prayer and Parent meeting for children and their parents on Sunday, August 28 th, immediately following each service. The meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room. Registration will also occur for church school, greater praise and discipleship. The Children s Ministry ministers to grades Pre-K through 5 th (ages 5-11). The Ministry is also recruiting for volunteers to assist with church school, discipleship, activities, fellowships and additional Christian education events. Yep it s that -me again get out your walking or running shoes register for just $5.00 and start gehng your sponsors. All proceeds from the 4k Run benefit our Imagine Campaign. On Friday, August 26 th at 7:30 p.m. the Foundation will host their annual benefit concert Sensational Summer Night IX at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. The event will feature musical performances from Stellar- Award Winner Maurette Brown Clark, Violinist Kendall Isadore and vocalist Michelle Jackson. Dr. Anthony Brown will also perform. The Dream Foundation will also award it s educational scholarships and recognize persons from the community at the event. 6 The Renaissance Center (RC), a Christian Counseling Center, has an opening for a part time Clinical Director/ Therapist. This individual will provide clinical supervision to staff, occasionally represent the RC at fairs or other community events, see clients and attend staff meetings. In the absence of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director will be expected to perform some of those duties. The part time hours are hours per week including two evenings a week and a flexible schedule to accommodate scheduling staff and clients for other daytime appointments. The applicant must have at least 5 years of experience providing counseling and at least 2 years as a Clinical Director. Additionally, the applicant must have a LCPC, LCSW-C license or be a licensed psychologist in Maryland and possess a masters or doctorate degree in social work, counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, etc. Please forward your resume to Dr. Carla Debnam, Executive Director Renaissance Center, cdebnam@msbcministries.org.
