2 INVITATION The Australian Vascular Access Society s (AVAS) 2017 Scientific Meeting, which incorporates the World Congress of Vascular Access (WoCoVA) Special Event, will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, May This Vascular Access Meeting is a relatively new and exciting addition to the Scientific Meeting schedule in Australia, and brings together a multidisciplinary cohort of doctors, nurses, and scientists from a range of fields and setting, all with a passion for improving Vascular Access care. The House of Cannulas Scientific Meeting will include the latest of all devices and technology. The theme of the meeting Excellence in Vascular Access: Making Healthcare Work will focus on promoting uptake of evidence and implementation of best practice as well as explore innovative and challenging advances for the future that puts the patient at the forefront of our specialty. The program will include keynote speakers in Vascular Access research and practice from across the globe. We anticipate the superb location in the beautiful city of Perth The City of Lights will attract great interest from both national and international delegates. 3 HOSTED BY WoCoVA is a non-profit organization registered in the Netherlands especially to organize seminars, congresses and improve Vascular Access. WoCoVA was established in 2009 and the main goal of WoCoVA is sharing knowledge and bring Vascular Access to a higher level. A specialized global scientific committee will offer scientific programs with experienced speakers, workshops and product presentations. In 2010 the first World Congress on Vascular Access was organized and it was an exciting process in bringing Vascular Access professionals together from around the globe. The Australian Vascular Access Society (AVAS) is an association of healthcare professionals founded to promote the Vascular Access specialty. Today, it s multidisciplinary membership advances research, professional and public education to shape practice, enhance patient outcomes, and partner with device manufacturers to bring about evidence-based clinical innovations in Vascular Access. AVAS will be the national voice for Vascular Access and is dedicated to delivering on the public s expectations of excellence by setting the standard for Vascular Access care. 4 The Importance of Corporate Collaboration at the Event AVAS is an emerging organisation with members about improving patient outcomes in Vascular Access care. Debate The nursing and medical profession are unable to sustain acceptable standards of Vascular Access. A new multidisciplinary specialty called the Vascular Access team must emerge. 14 GENERAL INFORMATION Exhibitor registration passes include morning and afternoon refreshment, lunch each day plus a satchel and copy of the program. Exhibitor registration passes do not provide access to sessions. Priority of placement within the exhibition will be sold in accordance with the date of application receipt. An exhibition manual containing information on move in and out times will be distributed to exhibitors and sponsors in CONDITIONS Payment of a 50% deposit is within one month of confirmation of your sponsorship and exhibition selections. Final payment is due 10 March Failure to pay your sponsorship and exhibition invoice may result in your sponsorship item or exhibition stand being released for sale. Cancellations received prior to 31 December 2016 will have all payments returned less a $150 administration fee. Cancellations from 1 January 2017 and prior to 10 February 2017 will be liable for 50% of the total package. Cancellations from 11 February 2017 onwards will receive no refund and will be liable for payment of the balance should it not have been received by the cancellation date.
