2 PRESIDENT S CORNER Thank you to the numerous volunteers who made this year s Fish Fry s successful. The Fish Fry s bring in a lot of money to the club. These volunteers gave up their Friday s to benefit the club. Special thanks to Mike Sanchez for chairing this year s Fish Fry s. Thanks to Mike and Roxanne Warmelink, for cleaning the chairs on the bar side. If you need your carpet or furniture cleaned, look for the Drymaster ad in the newsletter. Thanks to Rocky Swan and Craig Reynolds for the up keep on the bowling lanes this past year. Spring Clean-up: If you are a probationary member and need to fulfill an obligation, there is a spring clean-up for Saturday May 7 th and May 14 th at the club on the bulletin board. Grill Night s are back!! The 1 st Grill Night will be Thursday June 9 th. Stop by the club for a burger, brat, etc., for a sizzling price. Thanks to Kevin and Diana Shepard and their crew for a successful Decade Party. The club will be closed Mother s Day, Sunday May 8 th and also on Memorial Day Monday May 30 th. Support your Club and our Troops Ted Kowalewski - Thumbs Up AUXILIARY NEWS We had a great turnout at the April meeting. It was nice to see so many faces and I would like to thank everyone who came out. June 7, 2011 will be our summer banquet. Tickets are on sale for $7.00 and the theme is "Garden Party". Tickets are available until May 31, These may be purchased from Darla Scheuler, Vicki Anderson, and Joyce Hastings or at the May's meeting. You must be a member to attend this dinner. There is still time to join the auxiliary. If you are interested, please come to the meeting May 3, 2011 at 7:00 PM. There will not be an election in May. There is only one person running in each position. Currently there is an open position which is the financial secretary. If you are interested in this position, please see me and we can get things straightened out. Do to no election; there will not be any cardo games. A big thanks goes out to Peg Warber and her crew for the wonderful job they did on the pancake breakfasts. Thanks to them for a hard job. Very well done!! 4 LADIES AUXILIARY CRAFT December 10, 2011 We are asking everyone to spread the word. We will have 30 tables to rent out and will be open to non members as well. If you know of anyone that would be interested in reserving a table or two to sell their crafts please have them give me a call so I can get their name on a list. Then put on your dancing shoes and join us on Thursdays from 1pm to 3 PM. We have a great eight piece band The Socialaires, music from the Big Band era, Soft country and Swing. Join us on the party side. We have lots of fun and great exercise. The cost is $2.00 for each person. Come in and meet some new friends. This is open to all Seniors and non-members. Dance or just listen. Singles are welcome. Bring your friends hope to see you on Thursdays. 7 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED LAWN MOWING 2011 SEASON Volunteers need to mow the lawn at the Casino Club. New members, this is a great opportunity to complete their/your probationary obligation. You can also be one of the first to use our new lawn mower. Please sign up on the bulletin board on the member side of the club.
