3 About Us At the heart of Condev are our Core Values, having these values at our core allows us to contribute and make a difference to people s lives. Condev Cares has been established to extend this care and positive influence to the community, especially to those who are less fortunate and need it most. 4 Background Since Condevs establishment in 2002, Condev has not only been involved in the construction industry, it has also been involved in helping the community and many charity organisations. It has always been of high interest to Condev to give back to the community. As a strong Gold Coast based business, they have also supported the community and worthwhile charities on the Gold Coast - Tony Hickey, Hickey Lawyers OAM Founder & Chairman In 2014 Condev held their very first charity golf day, the Condev Cares Charity Golf Day, in support of children s charities and in particular 4ASD Kids. 4ASD Kids is a charitable organisation setup to assist children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The Condev Cares Charity Golf Day has been a great success since its inaugural 2014 year and is receiving more and more support each and every year. Over the years Condev have developed an ability to be able to help others, whether it be through the successful fundraising events or the community support as mentioned above. And with Condevs recent establishment of its charity arm, Condev Cares, it has developed an amazing opportunity to be able to improve and grow this ability of Condev s to help others. Prior to Condev Cares being established as a charity organisation, Condev have been significantly involved in hosting and supporting many community initiatives. In 2010 the very first CONDEV GC100 was held and enjoyed by many cyclists on the Gold Coast. The event has been held annually since 2010 in support of charities such as ROMAC and Rosies Friends on the Street. It is an event organised by the Rotary Club of Parkwood. Condev have been the major sponsor and supporter of this event, not only by contributing financially to the charities however also having many riders participate in the event every year. 6 Charities We Support 4ASK KIDS The 4 ASD Kids charity was established to change the lives of families with children battling with an Autism Spectrum Disorder, by assisting them to access the early intervention treatment that is critical to giving these kids the best chance at leading a normal life and reaching their full potential. The 4Asd kids website is a hub for resources and helpful information, and a forum for events and sponsorship opportunities. Keep up to date here: CURRUMBIN COMMUNITY SPECIAL SCHOOL The Currumbin Community Special School is a Queensland State School providing a quality education for Queensland students with a verified intellectual disability and possible secondary impairments including hearing, vision, physical and Autism Spectrum Disorders. In 2018 Condev Cares will be supporting the Currumbin Community Special School by raising funds to purchase over $40,000 of mobility bikes for the school students to enjoy. 6

7 OHANA FOR YOUTH Ohana For Youth is a Gold Coast non-for-profit organisation that supports teenagers to re-engage with life and focus on a bright and happy future. Founded in 1996, Ohana For Youth have helped to secure positive outcomes for teenagers including housing, counselling, community engagement, employment, training, returning to school, physical and mental health support. Their team complete with specialist provide individualised support, mentoring and re-engagement opportunities in a relaxed and fun environment. You can volunteer or find out more here: ROMAC ROMAC commenced in March 1988 out of the actions of an Australian Rotarian, who, with a group of surgeons, visited Lambasa in Fiji. They found the lack of medical and surgical facilities was the major cause of the child mortality rate. ROMAC bring children to Australia to perform often life-saving surgery, as this is not accessible to them in their home country. With assistance from medical experts, hospitals, nurses, physiotherapists, pathology and radiology services, airlines, sponsors and other supporters. ROMAC is making a difference, ROMAC is Giving Life to children who had no hope! You can make a difference too by visiting: 7

10 Condev Cares and Robina Roos AFL Day Charity supporting: Ohana For Youth Date: Saturday 26 May 2018 This local AFL charity game was first held in June 2016 and raised money for children s charities. The inaugural event included a local Aussie Rules Footy match, corporate packages, fun and entertainment for the kids, a half time F45 challenge and prizes and raffles throughout the day. 12 Condev Cares Life Cycle (CCLC) Charity supporting: Currumbin Special Shcool Date: 2nd Sept 2018 to 7th Sept 2018 (6 days) The Condev Cares Life Cycle (CCLC), is the newest and most exciting addition to our Condev Calendar. The Newcastle to Gold Coast Charity Bike Ride, will aim to raise as much money as possible for youth in need throughout our local community. It will consist of 20 riders taking on a 6 day team ride from Newcastle to the Gold Coast covering 1000km. 14 Community Support Condev Community Engagement Awards At Condev we understand the importance of not only providing high quality buildings for school students, but to also provide ongoing support to the schools we build for. We realise that our community matters, our people matter and our children s future matters. Providing ongoing support to the schools we build for and to the students we provide educational facilities is important to us and very much in alignment with our core values. Please refer to below examples of Condevs ongoing support of schools we build for. Condev had the privilege of attending the Saint Stephen s College assembly where James Saltwell (Condev Construction Project Manager) presented the Condev Community Engagement Awards to the deserved students. The Scholarship Award will allow these students to visit and help in a local Cambodian Community, which is an opportunity for these community-minded students to further develop their life-skills and inspire others. Condev were also very proud to attend the unveiling of the new Saint Stephen s College playground, where Condev assisted the Parents and Friends of Saint Stephen s College to provide this new playground for the students. 14

15 CEO Sleepout Condev Cares is proud to support the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland, which helped more than 265,000 Queenslanders in The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is a great fundraising initiative. Funds raised through the event will allow Vinnies to continue to provide immediate and emergency assistance to those in need, and support pathways to break the cycle of homelessness. Our CEO Aaron Hook will again be sleeping at the CBUS Super Stadium, to bring the issue of homelessness out of the shadows. 105,000 Australians experience homelessness every night, 27 per cent are children. St Vinnies Christmas Appeal Each year Condev cares supports the St Vinnies Christmas Appeal. For many people, Christmas is a joyful time of the year. However, over 13% of Australians are living in poverty, including 731,000 children who are unable to celebrate Christmas. The items and gifts that are collected each year, are distributed to local families in need.
